This string of lights is intended for decorative purposes
in domestic households and outdoors.
This string of lights is not intended for illumination
purposes or for commercial or industrial applications.
Important safety instructions
• Read the operating instructions carefully before
using the appliance for the first time and preserve
this booklet for later reference. Pass this booklet
on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a
later date.
To avoid potentially fatal electric
shocks:
• Ensure that there is a bulb in every bulb holder
when the plug is connected to a wall socket.
• Ensure that neither the string of lights nor the connector power pack come into contact with water
or other liquids.
• When in use, ensure that the power cable between
the lamps, and to the power pack, cannot become
trapped or be damaged in any way. Should the
power cable or the connector power pack become
damaged the string of lights may no longer be
used, as it is no longer safe.
• Immediately remove the power pack from the
wall socket if the string of lights fails to function
correctly or is recognisably damaged, especially
if the glass of a bulb is cracked or broken. First
replace the bulb. Arrange for the appliance to
be checked by Customer Services if other damage
is recognisable.
• After use or during extended absences, ALWAYS
remove the power pack from the wall socket. For
as long as the plug is inserted in the wall socket
the appliance itself is under electrical power.
• Ensure that the power plug is at all times easily
accessible, so that it can be quickly and easily
removed in the event of potential danger.
To avoid the risk of fire:
• Do NOT connect the string of lights to a wall socket
if it is still in its packaging. This would lead to a
build-up of heat.
• Use only spare bulbs that correspond to the details
given in the technical data. Using more powerful
bulbs, or those with different wattages, could
lead to the other bulbs becoming too hot or to
an overload of the power cable.
• Replace non-functional bulbs as soon as possible!
• DO NOT place the string of lights under inflammable objects, especially not under paper, curtains or drapes.
• NEVER operate the String of Lights when it is still
in its packaging (Risk of overheating).
To
avoid the risks of accidents and
personal injuries:
• Place the string of lights and its power cable
such that no one can trip or stumble over it.
• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals
(including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in
experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety
or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
• Keep children under 3 years of age away from
the string of lights. They could swallow small
pieces from it!

a potentially fatal electric shock should you come
into contact with electrical parts or moisture permeates
the appliance.
After immediate use, first allow the bulb to cool
down.
• You can now clean the string of lights with a dry
cloth. Do NOT use liquids, they could permeate
into the pinned socket. Also, to avoid damage
to the plastic surfaces, do not use any form of
detergent.
