Safety instructions
Danger of electric shock!
Plug the fan heater only in a properly installed, earthed power socket with a voltage of 230 V~, with 50 Hz.
Do not fold or squeeze the power cord.
Always unplug the power cord by grasping the plug, do not pull on the cord itself.
Never touch the fan heater, power cord or plug when your hands are wet.
Do not use an extension cord.
•Do not wrap the power cord around the casing of the fan heater. Please use the hooks which have been provided for this purpose.
Disconnect your fan heater from the power supply immediately after use. It is only completely switched off after having been unplugged.
Do not at any time submerge the fan heater in liquid and do not allow any liquid to get into the casing of the fan heater. Do not expose the appliance to dampness or use it outdoors. There is danger of electric shock. Should liquid happen to find its way into the appliance's casing, unplug the appli­ance immediately and have it repaired by a qualified professional.
Do not at any time use the fan heater near water in, for example, bathtubs, showers, sinks or damp cellars. Being close to water poses a danger even when the appliance is turned off.
Unplug the fan heater in case of malfunction and before cleaning.
Should the power cord be damaged, have the fan heater repaired by a qualified professional before using it again.
Should the fan heater be dropped or become damaged, do not use it anymore. Have the appliance inspected by a qualified professional and repaired if necessary.
Do not open or repair the fan heater's casing. Safety cannot be ensured in this case, and the guarantee is no longer valid. Have the defective fan heater repaired only by authorised professionals.
Do not place the fan heater close to heat sources and protect the power cord from being damaged.

Fire hazard!
Never place the fan heater near combustible materials, liquids, gases or directly under a wall socket. Leave room on all sides and at least one meter above the appliance.
Do not cover the appliance while it is in operation. Clean it at regular inter­vals.
Keep a suitable distance from the fan heater to avoid hair or clothing being drawn in by the appliance.
Never leave the fan heater unattended.
Do not allow children to use the fan heater unless under the supervision of an adult. Explain the dangers associated with using the appliance.
Always place the fan heater on a flat surface. Otherwise the fan heater could tip over and start a fire.
•Take care that the fan heater can oscillate in both directions when the oscillating function is turned on.

Danger of tripping
Place the power cord in such a way that no one will step or trip on it.
Do not use an extension cord.
Proper use
The fan heater serves the purpose of heating and ventilating living spaces. This fan heater is designed solely for use in private households and may only be used in such. This also includes observance of all information in these operating instructions, particularly the safety instructions. All other uses are deemed to be improper and can result in property damage or even in personal injury. Kompernaß does not assume liability for damage caused by improper use.
Description
You can heat and ventilate living spaces using the fan heater. Figure A

Operation
Remove the electric fan heater from the transportation packaging. Place the fan heater on a flat surface. Plug in the power cord. Turn the function switch (centre) to the right.
The fan will turn on and the control light will illuminate in red. The fan heater is equipped with five switchable settings:

Setting the direction of air flow
Tip the fan heater forwards in order to direct the air flow downwards.

or Tip the fan heater backwards in order to direct the air flow upwards.

Switching on the appliance and setting a time of operation
Caution!
Using the timer set the fan heater to “0” before plugging in the appliance. Otherwise you could damage the appliance.
With the aid of the timer you can automatically shut off the appliance after a sel­ected time. Should you not wish to automatically shut off the appliance, set the timer
to “on”.
Should you wish the fan heater to automatically shut off after
a certain period of time, set the timer to the desired time in minutes.

Setting the room temperature
Set the timer to the desired period of operation or to “on” (see above).
Turn the thermostat controller to maximum position.
Once the required room temperature is reached... Turn back the thermostat controller until a „click“ can be heard and the fan
heater is switched off.
Should the room temperature sink below the set temperature, the fan hea-
ter will automatically turn on again. The fan heater will shut off automatical­ly once the set room temperature has been reached.
Frost protection
Set the timer to the desired period of operation or to “on” (see above).
Turn the thermostat controller to minimum position.
If the room temperature falls below +4°C~+8°C the appliance switches on auto­matically.
Oscillating function
The fan heater is equipped with an automated oscillating function. Press the switch for the oscillating function" until it engages.
The fan heater will slowly sway left and right on its own. Should you wish to end the oscillating function, press the switch for the
oscillating function again until it stops.
Switching off the appliance
Should you wish to shut off the fan heater, set the function switch to the
position “0”.
Unplug the appliance after every use.
Transportation
The fan heater is provided with hooks on its back side which may be unfolded; the cord can be winded around them. Pull out both hooks to wind the cord around them.

Danger of bur ning!
Carry the fan heater only by the handle provided for this purpose.
Should you wish to transport the fan heater, carry it only by the handle
provided for this purpose. .
Caution!
Pack the fan heater only when it has cooled. Otherwise you could burn yourself and damage objects.
Should you wish to store the appliance for a longer period of time or to
send it by post, always use the original packaging.
Cleaning
Danger of electric shock!
Always unplug the fan heater before cleaning it. While cleaning, do not at any time submerge it in water.

Fire hazard!
Allow the fan heater to cool before cleaning it. Do not at any time use household cleaning agents or flammable liquids or materials to remove stains.
Clean the casing with mild soapsuds using a slightly damp cloth.
Danger of electric shock!
After having been cleaned, the fan heater must dry completely before being used again.
Fire hazard!
Clean the air grill at regular intervals with a soft brush. Hold the appliance with its back side facing down so that no filth can fall into the inside of the casing.

Rectifying malfunctions
Symptom Possible cause and remedy
The fan heater will not turn on
The fan heater cannot be shut off.
The fan heater shuts off. The time of operation set using the timer has elapsed.
The room temperature is higher than that which has been set with the thermostat controller. Set the thermostat controller to a higher setting.
A household fuse is defective. Check the fuses and reset them if necessary.
The power socket is defective. Try another power socket.
The fan heater is possibly defective. Have the fan heater inspected by a qualified professional.
An electronic component is defective. Unplug the fan heater and have it inspected by a qualified professional.
Set the timer to “on” or select a new time setting.
Disposal
Dispose the fan heater using an approved waste disposal service or your muni­cipal waste disposal facilities. Do not on any account throw the fan heater away with the normal household rubbish. Please observe the current regulations in effect. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal facilities.
