
Please note, instructions in this guide are based on a PC running Windows 7.
Please adapt the actions to suit your operating system.
Please follow these steps to ensure that any changes made by your previous modem or router (if
any) to your computer does not affect your ability to set this router up correctly. For the most
effective and easy set up process of your new router, we recommend you connect the router
directly to your computer/laptop by an Ethernet cable to complete the steps provided in this
guide.
Computer Settings
1. Click 'START' 'Control Panel' 'Network and Internet' 'Network and Sharing Center' → → → →
'Change Adapter Settings' 'Local Area Connection'.→
2. Select the connected network card, then right-click the 'Local Area Connection' and
select 'Properties'.
3. Select 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)', then click 'Properties'.
4. Select 'Obtain an IP address automatically', 'Obtain DNS server address automatically',
then click 'OK'. Return back to the previous interface, then click 'OK'.

Router Settings
1. Open your internet browser and type “http://192.168.1.1” in the address bar, then press
ENTER.
2. Input the username and password into the login screen.
(These will both be admin by default).
3. Click 'OK'.
4. Setup Operation Mode
Your AC router supports various modes of operation, which allows you to use different
interfaces for NAT and bridging. Please select the best option according to your network
design. By default, and for most everyday home connections Gateway Mode is
suggested. Once you have chosen your mode, click 'Next'.
5. Setup the Time Zone. By default this is disabled. Click 'Next'.
6. Setup your LAN (local area network) settings. We recommend you do not change these
from their default settings. Click 'Next'.

7. Setup WAN Settings
Here you can set the connection type required for the router to communicate with your
modem. The router supports three common connection types. (Fixed IP, Auto Config
(DHCP) and PPPoE dial-up). Once you have selected your connection type, click 'Next'.
Auto Config (DHCP)
Automatically detect and adjust settings from the router itself. This is the recommended
setting.
Fixed IP
Manually set the details if you require specific network addresses on your network.
PPPoE Dial-Up
Manually set the details required to communicate with your Internet Service Provider.
8. Wireless 5GHz Basic Settings
Please adjust the 5GHz Wi-Fi settings as required. By default, these details should not
need to be changed. You may wish to rename the network name to suit your needs.

9. Wireless 5GHz Security Settings
Please adjust the 5GHz security settings as required. By default, the settings already set
should be suitable for the recommended level of security for everyday networks.
We highly suggest adjusting the Pre-Shared Key to a password of your choice, however.
This password will be used when selecting the 5GHz network from your computer/smart
devices.
10. Wireless 2.4GHz Basic Settings
Please adjust the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi settings as required. By default, these details should not
need to be changed. You may wish to rename the network name to suit your needs.
Please ensure the name is different to your 5GHz network name.
11. Wireless 2.4GHz Security Settings
Please adjust the 2.4GHz security settings as required. By default, the settings already set
should be suitable for the recommended level of security for everyday networks.
We highly suggest adjusting the Pre-Shared Key to a password of your choice, however.
This password will be used when selecting the 2.4GHz network from your
computer/smart devices.
12. Click 'FINISHED' to complete the router set up.

Your router will now restart to apply all of the required changes. If you have connected to the
router via Wi-Fi and adjusted the Network SSID of the device, you will be disconnected
automatically and will need to connect to the new network name with the new password you
have selected. Devices connected by ethernet will be disconnected momentarily but will return
to the setup wizard page after the router has completed restarted.
Wireless Connection
1. Click 'START' 'Control Panel' 'Network and Internet' 'Network and Sharing Center' → → → →
'Change Adapter Settings' 'Wireless Network Connection'.→
2. Right-click on 'Wireless Network Connection' and select 'Connect/Disconnect'.
3. Select the wireless network name (SSID) in the wireless network list.
Click 'Connect'.
4. Enter the Wi-Fi key, then click 'OK'.
Note: The default SSID is on the label at the bottom of the product. The default security
key is 12345678.
5. Connection will be successful.

FAQs
How do I reset my router to the default factory settings?
Press and hold the reset button (near the WAN port) for 10 seconds until the unit reboots itself.
My computer will not find the Wi-Fi signal.
If you laptop has a built-in wireless adapter, please confirm that the adapter is working correctly.
This can be checked by going to a restaurant or other public location with a free Wi-Fi service.
Confirm that the Wi-Fi signal is on by checking the 2.4G and the 5G LED indicators on the front
of the router are lit.
Ensure that the computers hardware and drivers are up to date. In order to find the relevant
software and drivers for your device, we recommended referring to your computer User Manual
or contacting the manufacturer of the device for more information.
