SAFETY AND WARNINGS
Follow all instructions of this manual when using the device.
Before use, clear any objects on the floor (remove all fragile objects and cords,
clothing, papers, loose cables) and lift curtains and drapes off the floor to avoid any possible accidents). Make sure that the carpet corner edges do not protrude and no hanging tablecloth or curtain touches the ground.
Not to be operated by children below the age of 8 years old. For persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, proper supervision or instruction should be given concerning use of the appliance in a safe way to help them understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
Only use recommended parts provided or recommended by Kogan.com.
This appliance should only be used for domestic cleaning, as described in this user
guide.
Only use or charge this product in temperatures from 0°C to 40°C.
Use only the original charger supplied with the appliance.
Ensure the dust box and filtering cloth are installed properly before use.
Don't spray with or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols, aerosol
vapours, cigarette ends, lighters, matches or any other flammable objects.
Don't put your hair, clothes, fingers or other part of body close to the main brush or side brushes.
Don't use this device in a room with an unsupervised infant.
Don't use this product on wet or uneven surfaces.
Clean the dust bin and vacuuming port before use: clear dust, hair or cotton fibre
from the suction port frequently.
Do not bend or press the power cord with heavy or sharp objects. Don't let the robot run over or tangle the cord when cleaning. Keep the cord away from heat sources.
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair this product, its charging dock or adapter. If it experiences any fault or damage, stop using it and contact Kogan.com.
Turn off the switch before you clean or maintain the device.
Do not place this product where it is easy to drop off (tables, chairs, etc). Before
charging, check the adapter and outlet whether these are properly connected.
Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme usage or temperature conditions. If the liquid gets on skin, wash quickly with water. If the liquid gets into eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for minimum 10 minutes and seek medical attention.
If the appliance is to be disposed of, the battery must first be removed. The appliance must be disconnected from power when removing the battery.
Turn off the power switch during product transportation or when you don't need to use this product for a long time.
It is normal for the charger to become warm to the touch when charging.
The virtual wall accessory (magnetic strip) can be placed at the top of stairs. The
minimum distance to the edge of the step should be approximately 15cm on hardwood or thin carpet. On thick carpet, the minimum distance to the edge of the step should be approximately 18cm. robot from falling off an edge or stairs.

Lay the magnetic strip flat on the floor from one wall to the opposite wall to block off the area. The cleaner will recognise the strip and will not cross it.

You may operate the robot when it is in Standby Mode.
OPERATION
Sleeping
Cleaning
Make sure the power switch is On and press any cleaning button on the robot or remote control to activate cleaning.
Standby
Standby means the robot is on but stopped from previous Cleaning mode. When the robot is cleaning, pressing any cleaning button on the robot or remote control may stop the robot from current Cleaning mode.
/Standby/Cleaning
Sleeping: Power switch is On, display panel is Off.
Standby: Power switch is On, display panel is On.
Cleaning: The robot is cleaning, display panel is On.
If the robot is in Standby mode, press any cleaning button on the robot or the Standby button on the remote control to wake it up.
Sleeping
When the robot is on and not cleaning, it will enter Sleeping mode automatically within 45 seconds without any operation.
Pressing Standby/Wake Up button will activate Sleeping Mode when the robot is on and not cleaning, allowing you to skip the 45 second wait.
Scheduling A cleaning schedule for the robot can be set up with the remote control.
Time Setting:
Ensure that the robot is on and not charging. Point your remote control towards the display panel of the robot and press Time: the left two numbers will flash. Use the up/down arrows to set the current Hour and press OK to confirm: the right two numbers will flash. Repeat to set the current Minute.
Schedule Setting:
Once the schedule setting is activated, the robot will start working at the set time every day.
1. Ensure the robot is on and not charging.
2. Point your remote control towards the display panel of the robot and press Plan setting button: the left two numbers will flash. Use the up/down arrows to set the current Hour and press OK to confirm: the right two numbers will flash. Repeat to set the current Minute and press OK to confirm. The schedule will be set.

3. To cancel the schedule: set the scheduling time to [00:00].

Cleaning Modes
Auto Cleaning Mode
Your SmarterHome Robot Vacuum uses inertial navigation, an advanced navigation system that calculates the most efficient path to clean your room. When in Auto cleaning mode, it will clean rooms automatically and adjust its cleaning modes according to environment.
Press the Auto cleaning button on the robot or remote control to activate Auto cleaning mode.
Spot Cleaning Mode
Place the robot in the area that requires Spot cleaning. Press the Spot cleaning button on the robot or remote control to active this mode. Press any Cleaning buttons on the remote control or the robot to stop this mode; also the robot will automatically stop cleaning when Spot cleaning is done.
Edge Cleaning Mode
Put the robot close to the edge of wall. Press the Edge cleaning button on the remote control to start this mode. Press any Cleaning buttons on the remote control or the robot to stop this mode.
Full Go Cleaning Mode
When the robot is on or in cleaning or in charging status (connected to charging station), press the Full Go button on the remote control to activate this mode. The robot will start cleaning automatically when charging is finished.

CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP
Install App
Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Register
If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome™ account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS.
To register:
1. Tap to enter registration page.
2. The system automatically recognises your country/area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your email address and tap ‘Next.’
3. Alternatively, you can select ‘Register by mobile number’ and enter the verification code sent to you by SMS.
4. Create a profile on the next page to define your location and room.

Set device in pairing mode
When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (the indicator light will be flashing rapidly).
If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by pressing and holding the Auto button for three seconds until you hear a beep and the indicator light begins flashing rapidly.
Using AP Mode to add device
5. Once registered, tap “+” in the upper right corner of the app’s home page to add a new device through the network.
6. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Cleaning Appliances > Vacuum Cleaners), and then select “Other Mode” from the top-right corner when asked to reset the device.

7. Select “AP M ode” for the set-up type.
8. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the light flashing, and tap “Confirm light is slowly flashing”.
9. Enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.

Having trouble connecting?
The prior steps detail the process for “AP Mode” connection. If that does not work for your connection, we suggest trying it again, and if still no success, attempting the following method for Standard (non-AP Mode) connection.
Add device through network
5. Once registered, tap “+” in the upper right corner of the app’s home page to add a new device through the network.
6. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Cleaning Appliances > Vacuum Cleaners).
7. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the indicator light flashing, and tap “Confirm light is rapidly flashing”. In Standard mode, it will refer to rapid flashing, not slow flashing.

You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.
Adding “SmarterHome” to the Google Home app
1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon to access the ‘Add and manage’ page.
2. Select ‘Set up device’, then under the Works with Google banner, select ‘Have something already set up?’
3. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.

4. Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices.
5. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.

Adding “SmarterHome” to the Alexa app
1. From the home page of the Alexa app, select the “ ” icon in the top-right and select Skills & Games from the sidebar.
2. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill.

3. Tap ‘Enable to Use’ to add the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill to Alexa.
4. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.

Using the Kogan SmarterHome app
Once the robot is successfully paired to the app, you will see the robot vacuum’s control page.
The main page is divided to four zones:
top zone
grid map zone
status zone
control zone
The top zone shows the name and lets you modify the robot’s parameters.
The grid map zone shows the cleaned area and obstacles in real-time during cleaning.
Below the grid map zone is the machine status area:
Current state Show the machine’s current state (when the machine is powered on, the first state is pause mode)
Clean time Clean time shows how long the machine cleaned
Charge Shows the battery’s charge level
Clean area Shows how many areas have been cleaned in square metre

The control zone is used to control robot’s state, like Power On/OFF, Auto Clean etc.
Auto button: The robot will enter Auto Clean mode and start to clean the floor, showing the cleaning path and obstacles in real-time.
Auto charging button: Control the robot to enter into auto charging mode, the robot will go back to charging station and starts charging.
Manual button: Control the robot manually.
Room button: The robot will start to clean for 30 seconds. Room mode will show the cleaning path and obstacles in real-time.

Battery Charging
Note:
Place charging station against wall and remove obstacles from within 1 metre at both sides and about 2 metres in front of the station (as show in the figure).
Indicator light on the charging station will be on when it is connected to power supply.
Auto Charging
When the robot is in Auto cleaning mode, it will return to the charging station when power is low. When the robot is on, press Dock button on the robot or remote control to let the robot navigate to the charging station. (As shown in figure)

Connect the power plug directly to the DC plug for charging. (As shown below)

Water Tank Dust Box
It is very convenient and easy to mop spots on the floor with the water tank and attach the cleaning cloth.
Take off the dust bin, place the water tank refilled with water on the robot and start cleaning.
When the water tank is on, the robot will automatically turn to Mopping mode. The whole body of water tank is washable. Do not wash the DUST BIN as it has a motor inside. Pour water out when not using the water tank.

CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning of Side brush, Main brush and Mopping Cloth Cleaning the Side Brushes
The side brushes can be easily worn from heavy use so you should check regularly to monitor their conditions.
Switch the robot cleaner off and put it up-side-down.
Remove the retaining screws with a screwdriver.
Use a pair of scissors to remove any trapped hair or debris.
Side Brush Deformation
The side brushes can sometimes be deformed during transportation or when the product is used under particular conditions. If this happens it is possible to return to the original shape by putting bristles in hot water.
The micro-fabric mopping cloth is washable and can be used many times.

Remove the Main Brush Set from the Robot
Press Bush Guard
Push the Brush guard release on the main brush and then take out the roller brush and fur brush to clean. Remove the mopping cloth from the water tank: the mopping cloth should be taken off when water tank is held still.
When you put the mopping cloth back, make sure that the two sides are properly installed on the water tank and stuck flat on the bottom of the water tank.

Cleaning the Dust Box and Filtering Cloth
The dust box should be cleaned after every use.
Push the button of the filtering box cover as shown in the image. Clean the filtering box and cloth with water. Let the cloth dry before using the robot again.
Empty the contents of the dust box into a bin.

Cleaning Sensors
Clean the sensors and charging poles every week or according to daily use to make sure that the robot is well maintained.
Replace the Side Brushes:
If the side brush is damaged, it needs to be replaced. Replacement brushes can be obtained from Kogan.com.
1. Switch the robot cleaner off and put it up-side-down.
2. Remove the retaining screw with a screwdriver.
3. Remove the old side brush and put new one in place.
4. Replace and tighten the screw.

Battery Removal
Remove the screws on battery cover with a screw driver. Remove the battery cover.
Grasp the insulating tape at two sides of the battery and lift the battery. Unplug the wire connector that links the battery and robot.
