Note:
Computer and Laptop: ScanMaster-ELM
Note: It is necessary to install a Bluetooth adapter in the PC or laptop if one does not already exist. When the OBDII Bluetooth diagnostic tool connects to the vehicle, the adapter in PC can pair with it and receive the real-time data of the vehicle.
1. Connect OBDII Bluetooth diagnostic tool to the vehicle and keep the engine running.
2. Connect the Bluetooth adapter to PC or laptop.
3. Pair the device with the Bluetooth adapter and connect.
4. In the computer or laptop, double-click the Scan Master-ELM icon to start it.
5. Click the link button, select the Communication tab, and choose Bluetooth from the drop-down list which appears. Locate OBDII Bluetooth and pair to it.

1. Android: Torque, Dash Command, Car Scanner, Auto Doctor, Dacar Pro, CarBit, CarSys, Carzis, GeekOBD, OBD Driver, OBD Harry, ELM327 Terminal, Dacar, Gtrace OBD, AutoDiagnosis, Vehicle Sensor Monitor, Car Doctor, ELMScan Toyota, Car Doctor, ScanMaster, EOBD Facile

The two kinds of Windows mobile not shown below (Win CE/Palm OS and Windows Mobile) utilise different software and architecture to the other devices demonstrated, but follow the same operation to link and pair the OBDII device to the Bluetooth device.

iOS: Car Scanner
1. Open the Car Scanner app and enter the Settings menu: Settings -> Connection -> Bluetooth LE (4.0)
2. Press the icon to connect to the device and it will read the car ECU.
3. Review the relative functions in the app.

Android: Torque
1. Open Torque and enter the Settings menu.
2. Press the relative functions as shown in the diagram below: Settings icon -> OBD2 Adapter Settings -> Connection Type -> Bluetooth
Nokia: Symbian system
The operation steps are similar to the previous demonstrations but using OBDScope.
