FCC Radio Frequency Interference Statement

This monitor has been tested and found compliant with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide proper protection against harmful interference to a residential installation. This monitor generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. Harmful interference to radio communication may be led as a result if it‘s not properly installed and used. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this monitor does cause serious interference to radio or television reception, resetting the monitor may determine it. Moreover, users are encouraged to correct interference by doing one or more of the following:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Move the monitor and the receiver further away from each other.
Connect the monitor into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
Consult your local dealer or an qualified technician.

Safety Precautions

This monitor is manufactured and tested on the principle that a user’s safety comes first. Improper use or installation may result danger to the monitor as well as to the user. Carefully go over the following WARNINGS before installation and keep this guide handy.
This monitor should be operated only at the correct power sources indicated on the label on the rear end of the monitor. If you’re unsure of the power supply in your residence, consult with your power company.
Do not try to repair the monitor yourself as it contains no user-serviceable parts. The monitor should only be repaired by a qualified Kogan technician.
Do not remove the monitor cabinet. There is high-voltage parts inside that may cause electric shock to human bodies, even when the power cord is disconnected.
Stop using the monitor if the cabinet is damaged. Contact the Kogan customer support team for advice.
Put your monitor in a clean, dry environment. Unplug the monitor immediately if gets wet and contact the Kogan customer support team.
Always unplug the monitor before cleaning it. Clean the cabinet with a clean, dry cloth. Apply non-ammonia based cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the glass screen.
Keep the monitor away from magnetic objects, motors, TV sets, and transformers.
Do not place heavy objects on the cable or power cord.
For displays with glossy bezels the user should consider the placement of the
displays as the bezel may cause disturbing reflections from surrounding light and bright surfaces.
Due to safety concerns, if the VESA mounting kit is purchased separately, please make sure the mounting kit is UL-Listed, and replaceable only by service personnel.

According to WEEE regulation, this monitor can't be handled as normal trash in Australia when it is out of usage. Please refer to the recycle information from our website to handle it.

Setup

Installing the stand base

1. Place the monitor face down on a soft cushioned surface or blanket.
2. Install the stand base to the monitor.

Disconnecting the stand base

1. Place the monitor face down on a soft cushioned surface or blanket.
2. Press the bottom tabs inwards and pull the base stand away to remove.

Quick Installation

Step One: Cable connections

Connect Video cable (VGA cable option)
Make sure both the monitor and the computer are powered OFF. Connect the video cable to the computer, and then to the monitor.
or connect DVI cable
Connect the DVI output of the computer to the DVI input port on the monitor.
or connect the HDMI cable (HDMI cable option)
Connect the HDMI cable from the HDMI output of the computer to the HDMI input of the monitor.
or connect the DisplayPort cable (DisplayPort cable option)
Connect the DisplayPort cable from the DisplayPort output of the computer to the DisplayPort input of the monitor.

Step Two: Power connection

Connect the power cord to a properly grounded powered wall outlet, then to the monitor.

Step Three: Connecting the audio cable (optional)

Connect the audio cable from the audio output of the computer to the audio input of the monitor.

Step Four: Connect headphones (if desired)

Connect your headphones to the earphone output port on the monitor. (Headphones not supplied.)

Step Five: Connecting the USB cable

Connect a USB cable (not supplied) from the computer to the monitor.

Step Six: Power ON computer and monitor

Turn both units on. The monitor should now display your computer's output.
Step Seven: Setting Timing Mode for Resolution and Refresh Rate
(Windows users)
Example: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz
Resolution: right-click on the windows desktop Properties Settings “Desktop Area”. Set the resolution. Refresh Rate (vertical frequency): see your graphics card user guide for instructions.

Functionality

Using on-screen display (OSD) functions

Short cut functions from the button(s)

Input: When input is pressed, monitor will change the input signal to VGA, DVI, HDMI1,
HDMI2, DisplayPort1 or DisplayPort2.
Picture: to manually adjust the picture format, contrast, brightness, sharpness, overdrive and ECO modes of the screen image.
Picture format: select video format from 16:9, 4:3 or 1:1
Contrast: adjust the foreground white level of the screen image
Brightness: adjust the luminance of the video image
Sharpness: adjust the clarity of a non-UHD resolution (3840x1620) image signal
Over drive: allows the user to change the over drive strength to improve the quality
of motion pictures
ECO mode: allows the user to change the energy-saving settings. Contrast and brightness adjustment will be disabled when ECO is active.

PiP/PbP: PiP/PbP allows you to watch two screens from different sources at the same time. (PiP is picture in picture; PbP is picture by picture)
PiP/PbP mode: toggle to enable/disable PiP/PbP function. Main input. Identifies main source (greyed out).
Sub Win1 input: select input source for sub-screen.
Sub Win2 input: select input source for sub-screen.
Sub Win3 input: select input source for sub-screen.
PiP size: adjust sub-screen window size.
Small (720 x 480) Middle (1280 x 720) Large (1920 x 1080)
PiP position: adjust sub-screen window position.
Top-Right Top-Left Bottom-Right Bottom-Left
Swap: switch between main screen and sub-screen (only for PiP and 2PbP).

PbP mode

2PbP
Splits the screen equally down the center. In order to achieve the full screen on each side, we recommend the resolution of 1920 x 2160, however this is a custom resolution. Check your video card to ensure that custom resolutions are supported. If custom resolutions are not supported, then black bars on the bottom and top of the image will result.

3PbP
Splits the screen. Left hand side shows only one input. Right hand side shows two inputs.
4PbP
Splits the screen into four equal quadrants.
Auto Adjust: Adjusts the audio functions.
Volume: adjusts the volume of the speaker output.
Mute: Completely turn volume ON/OFF.
Audio source: When in HDMI1 or HDMI2 input, select where the audio source comes
from out of Line-in, HDMI1 or HDMI2. When in DisplayPort1 or DisplayPort2 input, select where the audio source comes from out of Line-in, DisplayPort1 or DisplayPort2.
Color: select the colour for improving brightness and colour saturation between Warm, Normal, Cool, User Defined, Preset and Blue Light Reducer.
Warm: adds green to screen for a darker image.
Normal: adds red to screen for warmer white and richer red.
Cool: adds blue to screen for a cooler white.
User Define: Individual adjustments for red (R), green (G) and blue (B).
Preset: provides optimum display based on the content being displayed. (Picture
Mode adjustment will be disabled when Preset is active).
Standard: general environment and default setting.
Game: optimized for PC game environments.
Cinema: optimized for movies and video environments.
Scenery: optimized for displaying outdoor scenery images.
Text: optimized for test editing and viewing work processing.

Blue Light Reducer: Decreases the blue light emitted from the display to reduce the risk of blue light exposure to your eyes. (Picture mode adjustment will be disabled when Blue Light Reducer is active.) There are three levels of Blue Light Reduction.
Language: Allow user to choose from the available languages.
OSD Setting: to manually adjust the horizontal, vertical OSD position, transparency and
OSD time out.
Horizontal: Horizontally adjust the OSD position.
Vertical: Vertically adjust the OSD position.
Transparency: Change the transparency of the OSD window.
OSD Time Out: automatically turns off On Screen Display (OSD) after a preset period
of time.
Setup Menu: To set up Auto, H./V. Position, Phase, Clock, DisplayPort, Reset and Information.
Auto: auto adjust horizontal/vertical position, phase and clock.
H. Position: adjust the horizontal position of the screen.
V. Position: adjust the vertical position of the screen.
Phase: adjust delay time of phase in order to reduce picture noise.
Clock: adjust clock frequency in order to get optimised horizontal size.
DisplayPort: adjust DisplayPort version.
Reset: Reset to factory settings for Video & Audio controls.
Information: Display information regarding current input signal from graphic card in
computer.

Care and Maintenance

Avoid exposing your monitor directly to sunlight or other heat sources. Place your monitor away from the sun to reduce glare.
Put your monitor in a well ventilated area.
Do not place any heavy things on top of your monitor.
Make certain your monitor is installed in a clean, moisture-free area.
Keep your monitor away from magnets, motors, transformers, speakers, and TV sets.

Safety Tips

If smoke, abnormal noises or odors came out from your monitor, you should remove the power cord immediately and contact the Kogan customer support team.
Never remove the rear cover of your monitor cabinet. The display unit inside contains high-voltage parts and may cause electric shock to human bodies.
Never try to repair your monitor yourself. Always call the Kogan customer support team for information.

Troubleshooting

No Power Make sure the AC power cord is securely connected to the
power adapter and the power supply is firmly connected to the monitor.
Plug another electrical device into the power outlet to verify that the outlet is working.
Make sure all signal cables are connected.
Power on but no screen image
Make sure the video cable supplied with the monitor is tightly connected to the video output on the back of the computer.
Adjust the brightness.
Wrong or abnormal colours
If any colours (red, green, blue) are missing, check the video cable to ensure it is securely connected. Loose or broken pins in the cable connector can cause an improper connection.
Connect the monitor to another computer.
