IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
* Please retain these instructions and, if possible, the carton with its packaging.
* In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave
them unsupervised with this device. When selecting a storage location for your
device, please ensure that it may not be easily accessed by children. Take care to
ensure that the cable does not hang down/loose.
* Prior to cleaning and when the device is not in use, please unplug it from the mains
power supply.
* This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
* If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Kogan customer service technician in order to avoid hazards.
* Make sure that the power cord and plug DO NOT come into contact with water.
* Never use the appliance outdoors.
* Place the appliance on a flat, stable heat-resistant and splash-proof surface where
it cannot fall.
* Make sure that your hands are dry when you touch the appliance, the power cord
or the plug.
* The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above – as well as
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge – if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the
safe use of the appliance and understand any potential hazards. Children should
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
* Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
* WARNING: This electrical appliance contains a heating function. As such, this
device should be used with CAUTION. Please use the handles and gripping
surfaces as intended and use heat-protection gloves or similar. Surfaces other than
the intended gripping surfaces should receive sufficient time in which to cool down
before being touched.
* This symbol means “Caution: Hot Surface”.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Carefully unpack your contact grill. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Place the Grill on a flat, level surface close to a 220-240 volt wall outlet. Open the Grill Lid.
3. Wipe the Cooking Plates with a damp cloth so that they are clean.
4. Wipe the outside of the Grill Housing with a soft damp cloth. NEVER immerse the Grill, power cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
5. Close the Grill.
6. Plug into the wall outlet and pre-heat for 5 minutes.
HOW TO USE YOUR GRILL
1. Place your grill on a flat dry surface close to a 220-240 volt wall outlet.
2. Close the Grill and plug it into a 220-240 volt wall outlet. Press the power button. The red ‘Power’ light will illuminate.
3. The unit's default temperature setting will be 140°C. Use the adjustment buttons to set the desired cooking temperature. The grill will begin to heat up. When the green ‘Ready’ light illuminates, the grill will have reached the correct temperature for cooking. At the same time, you will be able to press the time button and the adjustment buttons to set the desired cooking time, based on the type and thickness of food, as well as personal taste. When the
set time has elapsed, a beeper will sound five times to alert consumers.
4. Open the contact grill and place food on the bottom grill plate. Close the lid and press down gently.
5. The cooking time will depend on the type of food in use and your personal taste.

CARE AND CLEANING
1. Unplug the contact grill from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely.
2. Clean the outer surfaces of the grill with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents or scouring pads which may scratch the non-stick coating
3. The appliance must not be immersed.
Correct disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
