B. Cable mode:
Push the power switch to the far left. A green light will indicate Cable mode setting. Then connect
the USB cable to the computer’s USB port and audio cable to your device’s audio output. If the
rechargeable lithium battery does not need to be recharged, the user need only connect the USB
cable to the audio output.
C. Bluetooth mode:
Step 1: Turn on the power by turning the switch to , and the blue indicator light will flicker three
times.(When it is powered off, the red indicator light will flicker three times)
Step 2: Pairing: Access the Bluetooth function on your Mobile/PC/Pad to search the device
named “HBL_CT09”, press and hold the function button /■ on the speaker, and the red and
blue light will alternately flicker. Most of smart phones will pair up with the speaker automatically
at this point, but certain brand devices may require the user to put in the code “0000” before it can
be connected. In either mode, after the connection (pairing) is made, the blue indicator light will
flicker slowly.
USEFUL TIPS ON PAIRING AND CONNECTION:
If the red and blue light alternately flickers incessantly, it means “pairing” is not
successfully achieved, and please repeat the “pairing” process.
Due to the Bluetooth technology limitation, a user may experience failures of Pairing at the
beginning of using this speaker, and here are some useful tips:
a. When device Pairing does not succeed, please make sure Bluetooth function on other
phones/pads/PC near the Speaker have all been turned off except the one you intend
to pair. Otherwise, the Speaker may incorrectly pair itself with another device.
b. For iPhone/iPad users, please go to Settings/General/Bluetooth. If your Bluetooth is
on, the speaker’s name appears in your device list (HBL_CT09), but it shows “Not
Connected”, please click the blue arrow after the device name, and click “Forget this
Device” in next page, then repeat the Pairing Process described in the instruction.
Such failure could happen when the device has paired with a few different devices
previously.
c. For users of other devices, when pairing failure occurs, please access the Bluetooth
setting in your device, then delete the speaker’s name from the list and repeat the
Pairing Process per the instruction manual.
d. Although Bluetooth technology allows two devices in motion to stay connected, the
signal transmission can sometimes be affected by electro-magnetic signals in the
environment. If the connection is lost for a second or two when the playing device is
moving, it is not a quality issue with the speaker. Lost connection can usually be
restored quickly.
