SAFETY & WARNINGS

Ensure to read all instructions and warnings in this user guide prior to first use. Retain this
user guide for future reference.

• This tower fan is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the tower fan by a
person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the tower fan.

• To prevent a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the AC adapter or plug into water or

any other liquid.

• This tower fan is intended for indoor use only.

• This tower fan must be connected to a fixed wall socket with a supported voltage and

frequency of 100-240V, 50-60 Hz.

• Caution: Do not cover the tower fan to avoid overheating and a potential fire.

• Do not insert or allow any foreign objects to enter the air inlet, air outlet or air duct as

this may cause electric shock, fire or other damage to users and the tower fan.

• Do not expose the adapter to extreme heat as this may cause the adapter to
malfunction and explode, causing potential injuries.

• If the tower fan is dropped and/or damaged, stop use immediately and contact
help.Kogan.com for assistance.

• Power the tower fan only using the AC adapter included.

• Do not block the air inlet, air outlet or air duct to allow for optimal air flow.

• Do not place any objects within 30 cm of the air outlet.

• Do not place the tower fan on an uneven surface.

• Ensure the tower fan is placed on a stable flat surface.

• Do not use the tower fan in areas commonly met with water (for example, bathroom,

laundry).

• This tower fan contains hot electrical parts. Do not use the tower fan in areas where
gasoline, paint or any other flammable liquids are used or stored.

• Do not place the AC adapter under floor coverings or anything with which the AC
adapter could be hidden and/or cause a potential tripping hazard.

• Do not touch the ultrasonic vibration plate inside the tower fan.

• Keep the tower fan away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.

• Keep the tower fan away from air conditioners and other fans.

• Do not use this tower fan with any third party devices (for example, timers,
programmers) as this may pose a fire risk if the tower fan is covered or positioned
incorrectly.

• Do not use extension cords, double adapters, or power boards with this tower fan.

• This tower fan must always be used and stored in the upright position.

• Do not place the AC adapter over any part of the tower fan.

• Do not directly pull out the AC adapter to turn off the tower fan.

• Ensure the AC adapter is not tangled before switching the power on.

• Do not touch the power supply or AC adapter with wet hands.

• Ensure to unplug the AC adapter before cleaning, removing / replacing filter or moving

the tower fan.

• Do not move the tower fan when it is in use.

• Always unplug the tower fan when not in use.

WARNING — KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

• Swallowing may lead to serious injury or death in as little as 2 hours, due to chemical
burns and potential perforation of the oesophagus.

• If you suspect your child has swallowed or inserted a button battery immediately call
the 24-hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26
(Australia) or 0800 764 766 (New Zealand) for fast,
expert advice.

• Examine devices and make sure the battery
compartment Is correctly secured, e.g. that the screw
or other mechanical fastener is tightened. Do not use if
compartment is not secure.

• Dispose of used button batteries immediately and safely. Flat batteries can still be
dangerous.

• Tell others about the risk associated with button batteries and how to keep their
children safe.

BEFORE FIRST USE

This tower fan uses a HEPA filter to filter for cleaner air. Before using the tower fan, the filter
should be installed in the fan.

1. Turn the top cover anticlockwise to unlock.

2. Connect the filter to the top cover with the buckles attached.

3. After assembling, put it back in the main tower fan and turn it clockwise to secure it.

OPERATION

Placement

Place the tower fan upright on a flat stable surface. Ensure there is at least a 30cm
clearance between walls and any obstructions.

Keep the fan heater away from curtains as they may obstruct airflow and cause the fan
heater from working optimally.

Do not place the fan on an inclined or soft surface as this could cause the tower fan
to fall and be damaged.

Switching on and off

• Connect one end of the AC adapter into the power connector on the fan. Insert the
plug into a power socket (100 – 240V) and switch it on. The LED display will light up and
the tower mode will enter standby.

• To turn on, press the power button ‘ ’. The fan will beep once and begin operating.

• To turn off, press and hold the power button ‘ ’ for 2 seconds. The fan will beep twice

and stop operating.

Setting the fan speed

This fan features nine fan speeds. When the fan is operating, press the power button ‘ ’ on
the tower fan body to adjust the fan speed.

Oscillation

This fan can oscillate up to 80° left and right.

• Press and hold the power button ‘ ’ on the tower fan body for 1 second. The fan will
beep once before beginning to oscillate.

• Press and hold the power button ‘ ’ on the tower fan body again for 1 second. The fan
will beep once before stopping to oscillate.

Changing the angle of the air duct

The angle of the air duct can be changed manually. Before adjusting the air duct angle,
ensure the fan heater is turned off.

Hold fan heater body with one hand and set the air duct 15° forward or backward.

Note:

Do not tilt the air duct any more than intended. This may cause damage to the
tower fan.

• When in standby, press this button to turn the tower fan
on.

• Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds to turn
the tower fan off.

Strong mode will increase the fan speed to constant high
speeds.

• Press the strong mode button to activate. ‘HH’ will be
shown on the display.

• Press the button again to exit strong mode.

Sleep mode is ideal for overnight use. The fan will run at a low
setting perfect for a quiet night sleep.

• Press the sleep mode button to activate. ‘LL’ will be shown
on the display.

• Press the button again to exit sleep mode.

This fan can oscillate up to 80° left and right.

• Press the oscillation button to turn the oscillation function
on.

• Press the button again to turn the oscillation function off.

This fan features 9 levels of speed.

• Press the ‘+’ button on the remote control to increase the
fan speed.

• Press the ‘–’ button to decrease the fan speed.

The timer function can be set to automatically turn the tower
fan off after 1-8 hours.

• Press the timer button on the remote control repeatedly to
set the timer to a time between 1-8 hours. The number of
hours selected will be reflected on the display.

• After the timer is set, the tower can be used normally.

• To cancel the timer, press the timer button repeatedly until

the display shows ‘0’.

• The timer will also be cancelled if the tower fan is turned
off prior to the timer’s lapse.

When in use, the remote control should be pointed at the signal receiver located on the
display for the optimal response.

• This tower fan may respond to the remote control of other devices.

• Other devices may respond to the tower fan’s remote control. This is due to overlapping

frequencies between different remote controls. It is not an issue with the tower fan itself
and is a normal phenomenon. To avoid this interference, keep the remote control away
from other electrical devices during operation.

Remote control battery replacement

This remote control is powered using x1 CR2025 battery. Replace the battery when
necessary.

• Place the remote control with the control buttons facing downward.

• Push the buckle on the battery cover inward and pull the battery slot out.

• Remove the old battery. Identify the battery polarity and insert a new battery onto the

slot.

• Place the battery slot back into the bottom of the remote control. Ensure the battery
slot is secure.

Remove the battery if the tower fan will not be used for an extended period.

CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP

Install App

Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

Register

If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHome™ account, register or sign in with a verification
code sent by SMS.

To register:

1. Ta p to enter registration page.

2. The system automatically recognises your country/area. You can also select your
country code manually. Enter your email address and tap ‘Next.’

3. Alternatively, you can select ‘Register by mobile number’ and enter the verification
code sent to you by SMS.

4. Create a profile on the next page to define your location and room.

Set device in pairing mode

Plug the AC adapter into the socket and switch the socket on. The tower fan will enter
standby. Press and holding the power button on the tower fan body for 5 seconds until the
display shows ‘F’ and starts flashing rapidly.

Add device through network

5. Once registered, tap “+” in the upper right corner of the app’s home page to add a
new device through the network.

6. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Heating & Cooling >
Fan s).

7. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the display flashing ‘F’ rapidly, and
tap “Confirm light is rapidly flashing”.

8. Upon successfully confirming pairing mode, enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important
that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi
network during setup.

9. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your
Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device are kept close until
connection is complete.

10. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and
assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app’s home page. Tap the device
listing to enter its control page.

Notes:

The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network.

• The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.

GOOGLE HOME CONTROL

Adding “SmarterHome” to the Google Home app

1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon to access the
‘Add and manage’ page.

2. Select ‘Set up device’, then under the Works with Google banner, select ‘Have
something already set up?’

3. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan
SmarterHome™ service.

4. Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and
your devices.

5. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using
either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used
to register your account.

6. Once connected, the app will display any compatible devices linked to your
SmarterHome™ account. From here you can assign them to rooms and set up any
routines.

7. Tap on any of the devices to view a list of available commands.

Note:

Please note that Google Home can only control the base/core functions of any
compatible SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product’s smart
functionality, please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

AMAZON ALEXA CONTROL

Note:

You will need to have set up an Alexa account prior to linking your Kogan
SmarterHome™ device.

Adding “SmarterHome” to the Alexa app

8. From the home page of the Alexa app, select the “ ” icon in the top-right and
select Skills & Games from the sidebar.

9. Select the search bar and type ‘Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan
SmarterHome™ skill.

10. Tap ‘Enable to Use’ to add the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill to Alexa.

11. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using
either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used
to register your account.

12. Tap ‘Authorise’ to grant Alexa permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and
your devices.

13. Once connected, the app will perform a search and display the devices linked to

14. When your devices have successfully connected to the Alexa app, you will be able
to control your Kogan SmarterHome™ devices via Alexa’s voice commands.

Please note that Alexa can only control the base/core functions of any compatible
SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product’s smart functionality,
please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

CLEANING & CARE

Ensure to pull the AC adapter out before undertaking any cleaning or care.

Tower fan body

Gently wipe the tower fan body with a soft dry cloth. Use diluted mild detergent solution if a
deeper clean is necessary. Wipe the solution off with a soft dry cloth.

Air inlet & air outlet

Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean the dust off the air inlet and air outlet. Excess
dust leads to a decreased efficiency in air flow from the tower fan.

Remote control

Gently wipe the surface of the remote control with a soft dry cloth.

AC adapter

Wipe the AC adapter with a soft dry cloth.

Filter replacement

After a total of 720 hours of operation, the tower fan will beep five times and the display will
light up a sequence of indicators (as shown below). This indicates that the filter needs to be
replaced.

The steps to replace the filter are as follows:

1. Turn the top cover anticlockwise
to unlock and remove the filter.

3. Attach the new filter o to the top cover
with the buckle. This creates the filter
assembly.

After replacing the filter, press and hold the ON/OFF button on the remote control for 5
seconds. The tower fan will then begin a new 720-hour cycle.

2. Disconnect the old filter from the top
cover.

4. Place the filter assembly back in into
the tower fan body and turn it
clockwise to secure.

Storage

• This tower fan should be stored in a cool dry place.

• Avoid storing the fan heater in places with movement (for example, a car boot) or a

place heated or cooled by another appliance.

• Avoid storing it under direct sunlight or in hot and humid areas.

• If the tower fan will not be used for an extended period, pull the AC adapter out of the

power socket and store.

Disposal

This marking indicates that this appliance should not be disposed with other
household wastes. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human
health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources.
