Always fill the unit with water before turning on the power. Do not turn the power on before filling the kettle.
Do not exceed the maximum rated capacity when filling with water to avoid overflow when the kettle reaches boiling.
Turn the kettle off before using it. Don’t touch other parts of the kettle once filled with boiling water apart from the handle, as hot surfaces can easily cause burns.
When in use, do not suspend or hang the power cable over the edge of surfaces.
In order to prevent the water from corroding any internal parts, do not immerse the
electric kettle into any liquid for cleaning. For details, refer to “Cleaning & Care”.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Kogan.com in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
o staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments o farm houses o by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments o bed and breakfast type environments

Before first use
Before use, check that the voltage required by electric kettle is consistent with that of the intended power socket. Do not use the product if these voltages do not match.
Always use this product on a level surface. When in use, ensure that the power plug of the electric kettle is connected securely the power socket.
The product is equipped with dry-run automatic power off device; the power will cut off automatically in case of dry-run overheating to prevent the damage to the product.
During use, if the kettle is accidently boiled when dry, pull out the power plug and add the cold water into it to reduce the temperature of the electric hot tray. The power off function will automatically work after the temperature meets the required level. Pour out this boiled water to use the electric kettle again as normal.
There are four indicators on the key panel to indicate the selected temperature (50°C, 70°C, 80°C and 90°C) demonstrating the function, starting temperature setting and power.
Operating Instructions
1. Alert tone:
The tone will sound twice when the kettle is powered on, or when the heating
temperature reaches the preset temperature.
When the buttons on the kettle are operated, the tone will sound once for each
press.
2. Preset temperature indicator light:
Normal mode: the corresponding indicator light for the selected temperature
remains lit; the other indicators are dimmed.
Keep warm mode: the corresponding indicator light for the selected temperature
flashes; the other indicators are dimmed.
3. Button functions:
Start Button:
Press the start button to start heating; press it again to stop heating.
Press and hold the start button for three seconds to enter keep warm mode; press the start button again for one second to exit keep warm mode.

Temperature preset buttons:
Normal mode: the temperature indicator light turns on. Temperature presets: 50°C70°C→80°C90°C→100°C (all lights off)50°C
Keep warm mode: the temperature indicator light flashes at an interval of 0.5 seconds.
Temperature presets: 50°C70°C→80°C90°C50°C
4. Kettle body LED:
The LED will reflect the preset temperature as outlined below:
o 50°C: LED illuminates green
o 70°C: LED illuminates blue
o 80°C: LED illuminates purple
o 90°C: LED illuminates orange
o 100°C: LED illuminates red
The LED will turn on in the process of setting the temperature, heating or keeping
warm. When heating has finished, the LED will turn off.
5. Kettle status:
Normal mode:
Power on → alert sounds twice all indicators light up for 1 second LED on kettle
body flashes red, green, and blue in turn into standby status (ready for use).
After power on, the default pre-set temperature is 100°C. Press the start button to
boil directly. When the water temperature reaches 98°C, the kettle will stop heating after 8-10 seconds, then return to standby status after sounding the alert tone twice.
If the start button is not pressed after the temperature is set, the corresponding
indicator light will turn off after 15 seconds and the kettle will return to standby status.
When the kettle begins heating after the temperature is set, the relevant indicator
will illuminate. Once the water reaches the preset temperature, the kettle will stop heating and sound the alert tone twice. The LED on the kettle body turns off and the relevant indicator light will remain lit for one minute, after which the kettle returns to its standby state. Boiling water temperature range is +3 degrees.
During the heating process, the temperature can be set through the relevant preset
temperature button.

Keep warm mode:
In standby status, press and hold the start button for 3 seconds to enter keep warm
mode and begin heating water. The default pre-set temperature is 50°C. Press the start button again for one second and the kettle will return to its standby status.
Once in keep warm mode, press the appropriate preset button for the desired
temperature, and the corresponding indicator light will illuminate. Press the start button within 3 seconds of setting the temperature, and the kettle will enter keep warm mode and begin heating. The corresponding indicator light will flash at an interval of 0.5 seconds.
If the start button is not pressed within 3 seconds of setting the temperature, the
indicator light will dim after 15 seconds and the kettle will return to standby status.
In keep warm mode, the kettle will sound the alert twice when the water reaches
the preset temperature. The kettle will not sound the alert tone again during this keep warm cycle.
After reaching the preset temperature, the kettle will enter the keep warm cycle for
30 minutes. When the water temperature reaches below the preset temperature, the kettle will start heating automatically. After 30 minutes the kettle returns to standby status.
In keep warm mode, only the corresponding pre-set temperature indicator light will
flash; the others lights will be dimmed until the keep warm cycle has ended. During the keep warm process, pressing the preset temperature button has no effect.
The keep warm temperature range is -1/+3°C.
6. Malfunction:
When the kettle experiences a short circuit, all the temperature indicator lights will
flash, the kettle will stop heating and the buttons cannot be operated.
When the kettle has an open circuit, all the temperature indicator lights turn off, the
kettle stops heating and the buttons cannot be operated.

Cleaning
Carefully read the “Safety & Warnings” section of this guide before attempting to
clean the kettle.
Before cleaning, remove the power plug from the wall socket and allow the kettle to
completely cool down.
Wipe the surface of the electric kettle with a damp cloth and then dry it with a dry
cloth. Do not use a rough cleaning compound to avoid scratching the surface of the product.
Mild soaps and detergents (such as dishwashing liquid) are appropriate for cleaning
the product. Do not use strong acids or other corrosive detergents.
Descaling
Descale the water kettle regularly to ensure a longer life. Descaling should be carried out twice every year under normal usage conditions.
Add vinegar to the maximum level shown on the water level gauge and then boil it.
Remove the power plug from the wall socket.
Leave the boiled vinegar into the kettle overnight, then drain it out the following
day.
Add the water to the MAX level shown on the water level gauge, then drain it to
remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
Wash the kettle again with clean water before use.
