APPLICATIONS

Preparations

1. Slider can be removed only after the locking screw (10) is loosened.
2. Wipe all of the measuring faces and calipers clean. Do not use any cleaning solutions.
3. Check to see if all the buttons, switches and LCD are responsive.

Basic Measuring Methods

1. Loosen the locking screw.
2. Switch the unit on with a press of the ON button. Then select the measuring units needed by pressing the Inch/Metric button. (Each time the button is pressed, the display will alternate between metric and imperial measurements.)
3. Apply normal measuring pressure on the slider to close the external measuring jaws. Then press the “ZERO” button to reset the display to zero.

MAINTENANCE

Keep the caliper clean and dry. (Liquids can damage the slider) Faces should be cleaned gently with cotton fabrics. Never use cleaning solutions. To save power, turn the unit off when not being used for some time. Never apply any electric pressure on any part of caliper.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Flashing of digits shows a flat battery. Take off the battery cover in the direction shown by the arrow and replace the battery with the positive side facing outwards.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Failure Cause Measure
Five digits flashing simultaneously once per sec.
Battery voltage lower than 1.45V Replace the battery.
Display doesn't change when slider is moved.
Malfunctioning circuit. Take out battery, then replace it after
30 seconds.
Less accurate than specified, but within ± 0.1mm
Dirt in sensor. Remove slider cover and assembly,
then clean with compressed air. (5kg/cm)
No display on LCD 1 – Battery in poor contact.
2 – Battery voltage under 1.4V
1 – Remove battery cover and adjust the battery position. 2 – Replace the battery.
