Please read these instructions for use carefully before you use the Latinique, it also contains tips for parents and the guarantee conditions. Keep this for future reference. This book is designed to help you make the best possible use of your Latinique. Follow the instructions for use to
assemble the Latinique. In the product description section you will see the names of the various components. We recommend you repeat the procedures a few times so that you gain experience with the Latinique. You can use the Latinique from birth in combination with the Nordic carrycot. You can use the Latinique with the seatunit from 6 months to approximately 4 years. The Koelstra Latinique and Nordic carrycot are approved according to EN 1888:2003.
Keep plastic packaging materials away from babies and children. Babies and children may put this in their mouths and choke or suffocate themselves. Remove all plastic bags and carefully remove the protective cardboard and dispose of these immediately.
It is important that you check the complete pushchair with all accessories before you use it, and that you make sure you have all the parts. Should a part be missing or damaged you should report this to your Koelstra dealer within 7 days.
MOUNTING AND REMOVING THE FRONT WHEEL AND FEATURES OF THE FRONT WHEEL
• Remove the transparent protective cover from the axel and dispose of
this.
• Detach the round plastic cap (hubcap) from the loose front wheel. Take
a ring out of the small plastic bag which is attached to the wheel and place this ring on the axel. Place the loose wheel on the axel, so that
the valve is facing outwards. Place the 2nd ring and then t the split pin.
Click the hubcap back on the front wheel. Photo 1.
• Place the front wheel on the front leg of the frame. Photo 2. The swivel

TYRE PRESSURE
On delivery the tyres may be rather soft. Use a bicycle pump to pump up the tyres to the required pressure. Front wheels: maximum 36 psi.
(= 2.5 bar). Rear wheels maximum 30 psi. (= 2 bar). If your bicycle pump connection does not t on the Latinique wheel valves you can purchase an

• Unfolding the Latinique is described in the section “UNFOLDING THE
LATINIQUE”
WARNING: never force or exert pressure on the pushbar to move it
downwards. If in doubt please consult your dealer for further information. Cover the wheels with a cloth or towel when the pushchair is folded. This
will keep the covering clean and prevent the wheels from marking the fabric. Alternatively you can remove the wheels from the Latinique.
SHOPPING BASKET
When your Latinique is delivered the shopping basket is already attached to the frame. You can remove the shopping basket if required. Take careful note of how the shopping basket is attached to the frame so that you can replace it easily later.

Latinique.
• You can replace the shopping basket on the Latinique by placing the
shallower part under the foot rest and passing the fabric over the metal strip and closing the pressbuttons.
• Place the other end of the shopping basket over the thin metal bar and
close the pressbuttons.
WARNING: the shopping basket is not suitable for heavy packages.
MAINTENANCE AND WASHING RECOMMENDATIONS
You can remove the Airow cover and machine wash it at 60° C. Shake gently to remove the creases and hang to dry. Do not put in the tumble dryer or spinner, do not iron and do not dry clean. Place the Airow cover back on
checked side of the mattress. Put the mattress back into the cover.
The Latinique covering is easy to clean with a damp cloth and a little ox-
gall soap if necessary. Always clean the whole surface and allow to dry in the dark. You can also wash the lining. Machine wash using the wool programme
at no hotter than 30° C. Use a mild liquid detergent. When you take it out of the washing machine shake it gently to remove the creases. Do not
use fabric conditioner, do not put the carrycot lining in the tumble dryer or
spinner, do not iron and do not dry clean. Allow to dry at in a dark place.
Note: frequent washing may cause the colours to fade.
There are two stiffening boards in the seatunit. At the rear of the seatunit
you will nd a Velcro closure, open this to remove the boards. Detach the seatunit, canopy handle and frontbar from the frame. Take out the 5-point
safety harness from the seatunit. Take the boards out of the sitting for washing. Clean all parts.
If the Latinique frame has become dirty you can clean the frame with a soft brush. Always remove salt and sand as soon as possible. After going
to the beach clean the frame using a damp cloth. Don’t forget to clean the wheel housing as well. Dry thoroughly with a soft dry cloth. Even though we select our fabrics on colour fastness, the inuences of the
climate may cause the covering to fade. You can limit fading by not placing your Latinique in direct sunlight or by covering your Latinique with a cotton sheet. The covering may become greasy and faded due to saline deposits from transpiration from your hands.
Regularly spray all moving parts of the Latinique frame with Teon or
silicon spray so that your Latinique continues to operate smoothly.
Regularly spray the axels with Teon or silicon spray. Never use oil,
grease of other lubricants because these only attract dust and dirt. Prevent overloading the frame! The maximum weight the frame can bear is 18 kg. If an inner tyre has a puncture you can patch this as you would a bicycle tyre. If you require a new inner tyre you can order one from your specialised mother and baby shop or at the bicycle shop.

TIPS FOR USE
WARNING: Please read these instructions for use carefully before you use your pushchair, it also contains tips for use, maintenance advice and warnings. Keep this for future reference. The safety of your child is your
responsibility. The manufacturer of this product cannot be held responsible for any damage arising from incorrect or improper use of your Latinique.
Always use the 5-point safety harness and fasten it correctly! Never leave
your child unattended, not even when the Latinique brakes are on. Check all closures and connections regularly to see that they are still working properly. If someone else goes for a walk with your Latinique show them how to operate the brakes and other features. Always have them read these instructions for use. If you do not follow the instructions for use, the tips for use, maintenance advice or take note of the warnings this may be detrimental to the safety of your child. • Be sure that the frame is assembled correctly for use. You may cause
damage if you do not use the Latinique correctly. Before using the Latinique read the instructions for use and keep this in a safe place.
• This pushchair is intended to carry 1 child. Never attempt to place more
than 1 child in the seatunit or carrycot in the Latinique.
• Never allow an extra child to sit on the foot rest of the Latinique frame.
• The Nordic carrycot is suitable for use from birth to 6 months. The
pushchair seatunit is suitable for children from 6 months to approximately 4 years. The maximum weight allowed in the Latinique is 18 kg.
• Never hang bags or parcels on the pushbar. This will reduce the stability
and durability of your pushchair and may cause it to tip backwards. Use the shopping basket at the base of the Latinique between the wheels.
Do not use your Latinique as a baggage car, overloading the pushchair
will cause damage and is unsafe!
• The frame and the coverings can be easily damaged, so be careful
when using your Latinique, also when you transport it.
• Only use accessories recommended by Koelstra because these have
been specially developed for this model.
• Always use the rain cover when it is raining. The covering is water-
repellent but water can seep in via the seams and cause damage. Should your Latinique unexpectedly become wet, dry it off with a soft cloth and
allow it to dry thoroughly. Allow the covering to dry in the dark. Discoloration
18 19
may occur particularly if the covering has become wet unexpectedly.
• Remove the wind cover or rain cover in calm weather or if the Latinique
is placed indoors to ensure your child has plenty of fresh air.
• Never use a wind cover and a rain cover at the same time, but use
these separately because otherwise there will not be enough fresh air
for your child.
• Remember that the aluminium, metal and plastic parts can become
very hot in bright sunlight. You can prevent this from happening by not placing the Latinique in the full sun or by covering these parts with a cotton sheet.
• On warm days do not allow your child to come into contact with non-
absorbent materials.
• Keep the Latinique away from open re and from other sources of heat.
• The Latinique cannot withstand sea water. Do not drive your Latinique
through sea water. After a visit to the beach clean the frame using a damp cloth immediately.
• Do not leave loose parts in the Latinique.
• Do not allow your child to stand in the Nordic carrycot or Latinique, this
is unsafe for your child and may damage your Latinique.
• Always use the 5-point safety harness and fasten it correctly.
• Do not push the Latinique up or down steep slopes, stairs, escalators or
lifts with your child in the Latinique. In these situations you should take your child out of the Latinique or Nordic carrycot.
• Always put the brake in the parking position if you are not moving.
• Never jog or skate with the Latinique, you could unwittingly create a
dangerous situation.
• Do not use the Nordic carrycot or the seatunit of the Latinique as a bed
on the rear seatunit of your car.
• The wheels may leave a mark on smooth oors. You can prevent this
from happening by placing something under the tyres.
• The rear axel is not suitable for standing on. If you need to convey a
second child use the Koelstra Quickstep.
• A ‘ride-along board’ that is not specially designed for the Latinique will place an uneven load on your pushchair. Using other ride-along boards
may seriously reduce the life span of your pushchair. If you use an
alternative ‘ride-along board’ (at your own risk) this will cancel your rights
to the manufacturer’s guarantee on the Latinique.
