PERSONAL PROTECTION
PROPOSITION 65 WARNING: Dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other
construction activities may contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth
defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples are: – Lead from lead-based paints – Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products – Asbestos dust – Arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber
DUST PROTECTION: During operation, direct particles away from face and body. ALWAYS operate
tool in well-ventilated area and provide proper dust removal. Use a dust collection system whenever
possible. Exposure to dust may cause serious, permanent respiratory damage, and/or other injuries,
including silicosis (a serious lung disease), cancer, and death. Avoid breathing dust and avoid
prolonged contact with dust. Allowing dust to get into your mouth, eyes, or lay on skin may promote
absorption of harmful material. ALWAYS use properly tting NIOSH/OSHA approved respiratory
protection appropriate for dust exposure and wash exposed areas with soap and water.
OPERATORS AND OTHERS IN WORK AREA SHOULD ALWAYS USE APPROPRIATE SAFETY
EQUIPMENT. – Wear appropriate eye protection. Always wear safety glasses with side shields, safety goggles
or a full face shield when needed. Everyday eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses. Full face safety shields are recommended for use over eyeglasses. Eye protection must comply with ANSI Z87. See ANSI Z87.1 Eye protection (CAN/CSA Z94.3) for guidance.
Wear appropriate apparel. DO NOT wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties, rings, bracelets,
or other jewelry which could get caught in moving parts. Non-slip protective footwear is recommended. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.

Wear appropriate hearing protection. Noise from this product may contribute to hearing loss
under certain conditions and durations of use. To reduce risk of hearing loss, wear hearing protection devices that comply with ANSI S12.6 (S3.19).
AIR SUPPLY AND CONNECTIONS
Use only clean, dry air supply, with regulated air pressure. Set air pressure within specied
range, as specied on the tool.
DO NOT use oxygen, combustible gases, or bottled gases as a power source for this tool. Tool
will explode, causing injury or death.

Use proper hose coupling. The tool and air hose must have a hose coupling that allows all

the tool can remain charged with air, allowing the tool to drive a fastener even after line has been
disconnected.
ALWAYS disconnect air supply: – Before making adjustments – When servicing the tool – When clearing a jam – When tool is not in use – When moving tool to a different work area
LOADING TOOL
DO NOT load tool with fasteners with any operating controls activated.

Maintain un-cluttered, well-lit and properly ventilated work area and a clean work surface.
Use dust collection systems when possible.
Check hose for kinks, tangles or obstructions that might interfere with ladders, supports or
operator’s footing.
DO NOT use tool while on an unstable ladder or support.
Always carry tool by handle, not by the air hose.
DO NOT carry tool holding trigger.
DO NOT point tool toward self or others, even if magazine does not contain fasteners.
Always assume that tool contains fasteners and pressurized air.
