WARNING: Prior to drilling, so as not to cut or puncture
fuel tanks, fuel lines, brake lines, electric wires, etc., check
under vehicle for locations. All oor mounting bo lts near the
gas tank area should be installed from the underside of the
vehicle (this would mean not using a blind fastener).
ATTENTION: Read and understand all instructions and
warnings before operating or using this product. If contents
of the package are missing, do not return the product to

WARNING
Replacement keys are available. Locate & record the key
code on the front of the lock. Customer Ser vice will need
this number to send you a replacement key set. There is a
$10 charge plus shipping and handling for replacement keys.
If your gas spring fails, you will need the item number located on the registration decal on the underside of the truck
box lid when you call Customer Service to have the correc t
item sent to you. Call Customer Service at 1-888 -356-2258

WARRANTY
This product carries a limited lifetime warrant y to the original purchaser, only, this product will be free from defects
in material and workmanship from the date of purchase
and continuing the expected lifetime of this product. If the
product is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, please call 1-888-3 KOBALT, or return the item to the
place of purchase with a copy of the original sales receipt.
The seller will, at its option, replace the product. The remedy
available for this Warranty shall be limited to the cost of replacing the product, and not for any other incidental, indirect,
or consequential damages. Any modication or unintended
use of this product shall immediately void all manufacturer’s
warranties. Manufacturer disclaims all liability for injuries
to persons or property resulting f rom any modication to,
or unintended use of these products. This limited warranty
expressly excludes:
• Defects caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust,
scratches, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, or modi-
cation to the product, or any types or repair of a Kobalt®
Product other than those authorized or provided by the
Manufacturer.
• Defects resulting from conditions beyond the Manufac -
turer’s control including, but not limited to misuse, over
loading, or failure to assemble, mount or use the Kobalt®
Product in accordance with the Manufacturer’s written
instructions or guide lines included with the Kobalt®
Product or made available to the original purchaser.
• Damage to the contents of the box or vehicle.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and you may
have other rights that vary from state to state.
Estimated Assembly Time: Approximately 45 minutes
Tools Required: Ratchet wrench with 1/2 in. deep well
socket; 1/2 in. open or box end wrench; drill with 3/16 in.
& 3/8 in. drill bit; carpenter’s square, pencil/marker, tape
measure, safety glasses, gloves.
NOTE: If your pick-up is tted with a plastic drop-in bed
liner, it may need to be drilled, trimmed, or cut for proper
installation of truck storage product.
