GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation for further
reference and maintenance.

SAFETY

• Before installation/maintenance, ensure that the mains supply to the luminaire is
switched off and the circuit fuses are removed or circuit breakers switched off.

• Installation of this luminaire should only be carried out by a qualified electrician to
the current IEE Wiring and Building Regulations.

• Check that the total load on the circuit including when this luminaire is fitted does
not exceed the rating of the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker

• This product is IP65 rated and suitable for external applications. Not suitable for
hazardous or coastal areas

• This product is Class l rated and must be earthed

• 230V 50Hz

• GU10 35W MAX or GU10 LED

• Please recycle this unit.

• The pre-installed cable supplied is for above-ground use only. Should the cable
need to be routed within walls or underground, a suitable conduit or plastic trunking
should be used

•

Should the protective glass be cracked or damaged it should be replaced immediately

• This fitting must not be used without the protective glass installed

INSTALLATION

• Choose a position for the luminaire ensuring that the ground is suitable to firmly hold
the spike and luminaire in position. Check that the ground is not liable to flooding
and the spike does not infringe with any underground pipes or cables when pushed
into the ground.

• Route the cable from the luminaire to a suitable outdoor socket or an IP65 rated
(or higher) weatherproof junction box avoiding positions where the cable could
cause a hazard or be at risk of being cut, trapped or damaged.

• Connect the cable into the junction box or fit a suitable plug for the outdoor socket
ensuring correct polarity is observed:
Brown-LIVE.
Blue-Neutral.
Green/Yellow-Earth

LAMP INSTALLATION & REPLACEMENT

• ALWAYS SWITCH OFF THE MAINS SUPPLY AND ALLOW THE LUMINAIRE AND
LAMP TO COOL BEFORE HANDLING

• Unscrew the bezel by turning anticlockwise

• Place the lamp (GU10 35W MAX) into the lampholder and turn clockwise 45 degrees
to lock into the lampholder

• To remove the lamp turn anticlockwise 45 degrees and pull out of the lampholder

• Replace the bezel ensuring the gasket is not damaged, is intact and the bezel is
tight so as to form a weatherproof seal.

• Test for correct operation

CLEANING

• Clean with a soft dry cloth only, do not use other materials or solutions which may
damage the fitting.

OPTIONAL EXTRA

A 600mm ground spike (EXT2) is available as an optional extra replacing the
standard spike to extend the height of the luminaire
