INSTALLATION

• Pull cabling through the grid frame, strip insulation accordingly,
and terminate into the module (see Fig. 1)

These instructions should be read carefully and retained
after installation by the end user for future reference and
maintenance.

SAFETY

• This product must be installed in accordance with the latest
edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and current
Building Regulations. If in any doubt, consult a qualified
electrician

• Please isolate mains prior to installation or maintenance

• Do not overload this product or subject it to conditions outside

its rating:

- LED dimming range 5 - 100W

- Incandescent/halogen dimming range 10 - 150W

- Not suitable for fluorescent lamps

• Please check compatibility with intended load before installation

ONE-WAY DIMMING CONTROL TWO-WAY DIMMING CONTROL

• Check all electrical connections are secure with all exposed
copper within the terminal and no loose strands of cable

• Insert the bottom edge of the module into the grid frame, and
clip into place, ensuring the tab at the top is holding the module
securely

• Adjust the position of the frame in relation to the wall. Attach
the front plate, either using the fixing screws provided or by
carefully aligning the rear clips to the frame and clipping into
position

• Switch on and check for correct operation

• For a multiple gang dimmer repeat the wiring method for each
dimmer unit

• Two-way switching with a dimmer can only be achieved when
there is only one dimmer in the system. Two-way dimming
cannot be achieved

DIMMING ADJUSTMENT indicate that the dimmer is in leading-edge mode
To restore factory settings

1. Switch on the power and turn the dimmer to the minimum
position (anticlockwise)

2. Press the knob 8 times

3. The unit will increase and decrease the brightness twice to
indicate that the dimmer is in configuration mode, it will then
maintain a low illumination level or switch off

To adjust the minimum dimming level

1. After restoring the factory settings, slowly adjust the brightness
to a suitable level

2. Press the knob 4 times

3. The unit will increase and decrease the brightness once the
adjustment is complete

To change between trailing-edge and leading-edge mode

1. Switch on the power and adjust the dimmer knob to the
maximum position (clockwise)

2. Press the knob on and off 5 times. The load will flash once to
indicate that the dimmer is in trailing-edge mode, or twice to

This product must be disconnected from the circuit if subjected
to any high voltage or insulation resistance testing. Irreparable
damage will occur if this instruction is not followed.
Ensure a mixed load is not selected i.e., incandescent mixed with
LED. It is recommended to use lamps/luminaires of the same
brand and type on the same switch.
Most dimmable LEDs will not have the same dimming
characteristics as incandescent lamps.
A small audible buzz may be emitted when using certain products.
This is normal.

GENERAL

• This product should be recycled in the correct manner when
it reaches the end of its life. Check local authorities for where
facilities exist.

• Clean with a soft dry cloth only, do not use aggressive cleaning
products or solvents which may damage the product and
invalidate the warranty

WARRANTY

This product has a warranty of 2 years from date of purchase.
Failure to install this product in accordance with the current
edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671), improper use,
or removal of the batch code will invalidate the warranty. If
this product should fail within its warranty period, it should
be returned to the place of purchase for a free of charge
replacement. ML Accessories does not accept responsibility for any
installation costs associated with the replacement product. Your
statutory rights are not affected. ML Accessories reserve the right
to alter product specification without prior notice.
