EAPIR1xx / EAPIR2xx
SAFETY
• This product must be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
and current Building Regulations. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician
• Please isolate mains prior to installation or maintenance
• Check the total load on the circuit (including when this luminaire is fitted) does not exceed the rating of the
circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker
• Please note the IP (Ingress Protection) rating of this product when deciding the location for installation
• This product is Class II double insulated
• This product is IP44 rated
INSTALLATION
Note - Round cable should be used for the mains supply. The use of flat cable will cause water ingress to the
fitting.
• Provide power to the required point of installation (refer to BS7671 for correct cabling methods). Suitable IP
rated junction boxes should be used where required
• Separate the baseplate from the luminaire by removing the nuts on the front
• Using the baseplate as a template, mark the location for, and drill the fixing holes ensuring not to infringe
with any gas/water pipes or electrical cables (see Fig. 1)

Fig. 1
• Feed the mains cable through the rubber grommet to retain IP rating, and secure the baseplate to the
surface using the plugs, screws and rubber washers provided
• Connect the luminaire to the mains supply ensuring the correct polarity is observed: Live (brown),
Neutral (blue)
• Ensuring the gasket on the baseplate is in place, align the luminaire with the baseplate and secure with the
two nuts
• Unscrew the bezel, insert a suitable LED lamp (5W max.) and carefully replace the bezel ensuring that
the seal is in place and not damaged. Note that the top and bottom bezels of the EAPIR2xx are not
interchangeable
• Push the PIR lid down to uncover the PIR adjustment dials (see Fig. 2)
• Turn the time setting to the minimum (anti-clockwise) and the lux setting to the maximum (clockwise)
• Switch on power to the luminaire and conduct a walk test – this is to check the area that the sensor is
detecting, and to adjust the detection settings as required

Fig. 2
• Once the detection area is set, adjust the time and lux settings as required
• Check for correct operation
