LCD Display Module for SAE-1000/1100 Detectors

Installation Guide

The IEI-1000 LCD display module can be eld-

installed in the SAE-1000 series CO2 and SAE-1100

Connector

LCD Display

series CO detectors. The module is required for

conguration (changing from the default seings) of
these detectors. (The SAE-1002 already comes with the
LCD display module installed.) The module can even

be transferred from one detector to another.

To install the module:

1. Disconnect power and remove the cover from the

desired SAE-1000/1100 series detector.

2. Orient the module (with the connector at the top)
according to the appropriate illustration below.

CAUTION

Disconnect power before installing or removing the
display module. The module must be installed correctly or
damage may result to the detector and/or the module.

3. Ensure that all 14 pins on the detector’s board are
lined up correctly and push them into the LCD
module’s connector.

4. Aer reconnecting power and using the display,
reinstall the detector’s cover. (Disconnect power
again if transferring the module to another
sensor.)

CO Detector Compatibility

Maintenance

Because of changes in the CO detector boards,

current models of LCD displays are only compatible

with these models:

SAE-1101 CO sensor (aer 5/2007)

SAE-1102 CO sensor w/ relays and alarm

(aer 2/2007)

SAE-1151 CO sensor (aer 12/2006)

SAE-1152 CO sensor w/ relays and alarm

(aer 11/2004)

Earlier models of CO detectors (with a row of LEDs
on the le side of the board) require the earlier

models of displays.

Board/display incompatibility results in a blank or
garbled display.

Careful installation will also ensure long-term reli­ability and performance. Remove dust as necessary
from sensor holes in top and boom.
