ARCHITECTURAL LOUDSPEAKERS
Reference Series sound with
installation flexibility
Architectural speakers have grown in
popularity, but until now that has
only been because of their inconspicu-
ous appearance, not the quality of
their sound. Klipsch has created
in-wall and in-ceiling speakers that
deliver power and detail worthy of the
Reference Series name.
These two-way in-wall and in-ceiling
speakers provide greater flexibility
and installation convenience. The
neodymium tweeter magnets are
compact yet powerful, delivering the
performance you expect from Klipsch.
The tweeter and midbass attenuator
switches allow you to adjust the levels
to compensate for less-than-optimum
placement and room acoustics. All of
our Reference Series in-wall and
in-ceiling speakers accommodate
standard infrared receivers for
remote-control operation, and feature
paintable grilles that ensure they
blend well with any décor. They’re the
ideal choice for distributed sound
applications or custom home theater
installations.
IN-CEILING LOUDSPEAKERS
Both of our Reference Series in-ceiling
speakers use a
titanium
diaphragm
tweeter with
a rotating
Tractrix
®
Horn that swivels 10° around a full
circle to direct the sound to the
listener. The RCR-5 uses a single 8"
Cerametallic
™
woofer to deliver the
bold sound, while the RCR-3’s 6.5"
woofer outperforms bigger, more
expensive models. Both feature audio-
phile-grade crossover components.
IN-WALL LOUDSPEAKERS
Our Reference Series in-wall models
are designed to produce a big sound
even when they’re in an inconvenient
location. The titanium diaphragm
tweeter is mated to a Tractrix
®
Horn
which pivots 15° horizontally to focus
the sound on the
listening area.
The RCW-5 has
a single 8"
Cerametallic
™
woofer, while the
RCW-3 has a 6.5" woofer.
Reference Series powered subwoofers
shatter your expectations for deep,
driving bass by playing louder and
going deeper than significantly larger
designs, creating the most dramatic,
intense bass you’ve ever heard or felt.
Designed from the ground up for
class-leading, room-filling low-fre-
quency performance, these extraordi-
nary subwoofers are sonically, cos-
metically and technologically matched
to the Reference Series. Low-level
inputs that also operate as an LFE
input (for compatibility with 5.1 digi-
tal sound formats) and an adjustable
low-pass crossover allow you to con-
figure the subwoofer to your room’s
acoustics while ensuring that future
improvements to your system won’t
outstrip its capabilities. The easy-to-
reach, side-mounted volume control
makes for simple setup and conven-
ient level adjustments between music
and movie sources.
RSW-15 SUBWOOFER
The RSW-15 surpasses the perform-
ance of a conventional 21" single-
driver subwoofer through intelligent
engineering. Pairing a heart-throbbing
15" rear-firing Cerametallic
™
active
driver with a 3-inch voice coil and
30-pound motor assembly with a 15"
front-firing passive radiator gives
you more surface area than a 21"
subwoofer in a much smaller foot-
print. Powered by a 2400-watt BASH
®
digital high-efficiency hybrid amplifi-
er, the drivers deliver earthshaking
sound without detail-robbing distor-
tion. The RSW-15 is available in
furniture-grade blond maple, medium
cherry or jet ash wood veneers.
RSW-12 SUBWOOFER
The Reference Series RSW-12
powered subwoofer delivers truly
deep, musical low bass with depth
and intensity that intimidates much
larger subwoofers. It matches a 12"
front-firing Cerametallic
™
passive
radiator and 12" rear-firing active
driver to a 2400-watt BASH
®
amplifier
to provide enough power and low-
distortion performance to complement
our floorstanding speakers. It is
available in wood-grain black vinyl.
RSW-10 SUBWOOFER
The RSW-10 combines 10"
Cerametallic
™
drivers with a 1150-
watt BASH
®
amplifier, generating
enormous sound from a surprisingly
compact cabinet. It delivers more
thundering low bass with greater
clarity than much larger subwoofers,
and is finished in unobtrusive,
durable black vinyl.
