Klipsch Heritage Unpacking Instructions
All Klipsch Heritage models are large and heavy. It is recommended that two people unpack and install these speakers.
Heresy III and Cornwall III:
Open the top carton flaps
Invert the carton and pull it up and off the speaker
Remove the internal packing and save for future use
to your audio system
The Klipschorn and La Scala II low and high frequency cabinets are shipped in separate cartons. Please take care to match the upper and lower cabinet serial numbers when assembling the Klipschorn or LaScala II as they are paired for proper acoustic performance.
La Scala II and Klipschorn low frequency cabinet:
Open the top flaps of the low frequency carton
Invert the carton and lift it off the speaker cabinet
Remove the inner packing and plastic sheeting
The top of the cabinet, with its rubber bumpers, should be facing up.
Klipschorn Low Frequency Cabinet:
Slide the bass cabinet into the corner to test fit and make note of any obstructions that may
interfere with it fitting tightly
Remove the cabinet from the corner to install the high frequency cabinet
In preparation for hookup, remove the low frequency grille (two wing nuts) on the input panel side
of the cabinet and set it aside until the connection process is complete
Klipschorn High Frequency Cabinet:
Open the top flaps of the high frequency carton marked “Open This End” Invert the carton.
Lift the carton off the cabinet and remove the packing pad
Using assistance, lift the high frequency cabinet off the floor and set it on top of
the low frequency cabinet, aligning the three rubber bumpers on top of the low frequency
cabinet with the three recesses on the underside of the high frequency cabinet.
Thread the high and mid frequency driver leads in the upper cabinet through the hole in the lower
panel
Refer to the user manual packed with your Klipschorn for further detail on connecting your
Klipschorn to your audio system
La Scala II high frequency cabinet:
Open the top flaps of the high frequency carton marked “Open This End.” The bottom of the
cabinet should be facing up, with the low frequency connection cable attached to it.
Free this cable
Invert the carton and lift it off the cabinet.
Using assistance, lift the high frequency cabinet off the floor and carefully rest its rear portion on
top of the front half of the low frequency cabinet
Secure the low frequency input cable to the input connectors on the top of the low frequency
cabinet. Be sure to observe proper polarity (Red + to Red + and Black – to Black –)
Align the recesses on the bottom surface of the high frequency cabinet with the rubber bumpers on
the top of the low frequency cabinet
