Speech protection system
(Protection of conversations against all kinds of eavesdropping)
DRUID D06 is a top-of-the-line protection system. This is the only
device in the world which can give 100% protection to your
conversations against interception or recording. The DRUID D-06
creates powerful interference against all kinds of listening devices!
Even if a person is standing next to the participants, they will not be
able to understand what is being said. The headsets allow the users
to hear each other clearly while the DRUID's central unit produces
interference. Powered from 220V or the internal rechargeable
battery with a resource time of 4-6 hours. The unit is supplied in a
carry case.
Not all listening devices can be detected by existing methods. The
DRUID D-06 is a unique system for providing protection of human's
speech. Remotely controlled radio microphones, wired microphones,
passive resonators and miniature voice recorders; practically all
these devices cannot be detected by conventional methods. Even a
modern cellular phone may contain a digital voice recorder; this
means that any phone lying on the desktop could be used by an
adversary to record a conversation. Therefore it is extremely
important to have a reliable device protecting private conversations,
not depending on their level of importance. The concept of the
DRUID D-06 is based on generating audio interference produced
simultaneously with a human's speech. The volume of this
interference is higher than a person's voice; therefore neither
listening device nor recorder is able to pick it up. The generated
audio interference cannot be cleared by any noise-clearancemethods. At the same time the produced interference does not
create any inconvenience to the participants of the negotiation
thanks to the special headsets. The DRUID headset allows users to
hear each other with crystal clear quality.

Usage
Power and recharging
When the DRUID D06 is used for the first time, it is necessary to use
it with the power adapter to charge the internal battery. It will take
approximately 9 hours for a full charging. The recharging process is
indicated by the red CHARGE LED. When the battery is charged
completely, the power controller automatically stops charging and
the CHARGE LED becomes green. After this the DRUID D06 can be
used without the power adapter.
The BATTERY bar graph shows the status of the internal battery and
decreases when the battery becomes discharged. After the bar
graph decreases by 2 segments the remaining working time will be
about 30-60 min depending on the level of conversation activity. The
total resource of the completely recharged battery is 4-6 hours
depending on the number of headsets used and the participants’
activity.
It is recommended to charge and discharge the battery completely
2-3 times to provide the best power resource in the future. In case
the device is stored for a long time it is recommended to recharge it
once each 6 months.
Headsets
It is recommended to use high-quality headsets manufactured by
well-known producers. Low quality headsets may cause a loopback
effect at great distances from the unit. These are beeping or
whistling sounds going from the unit’s speakers.
Note: it is normal when a loopback effect appears when the
headset’s microphone is in close proximity to the DRUID D06 unit
(10-20 cm). This is not a usually a problem since in normal situations
the headsets will be used at least 50 cm from the device.
It is recommended to use the Plantronics Audio 355 or Audio 345
headsets. You are welcome to try any other model of multimedia
headset, making sure that there is no loopback effect with the
particular model before operation.
12 foam rubber mouthpieces (covers) are supplied in the standard
set. It is recommended to put the mouthpiece on the headset’s
microphone for two reasons:

It will make the sound your voice softer in the headphones of
your interlocutors (cuts out whistling sounds)

It will help to prevent lip reading in cases where there is, or
could be, video surveillance in operation.
Usage
Connect the headsets to the corresponding sockets of the DRUID
D06’s back panel. Do not mix the jacks – ‘microphone’ and
‘headphone’ should be connected to the proper sockets according to
the labels on the back panel.
There are 6 pairs of sockets and the DRUID D06 can work with the 6
headsets simultaneously, i.e. up to 6 persons can take part in a
conversation.
Conversations
1. Distribute the headsets among the participants and
connect the headsets to the DRUID D06. Place the
headsets at a distance not closer than 50 cm to the unit
2. Let the participants put on the headsets
3. Turn on the DRUID D06 by pressing the ON button. Check
the battery status and, if necessary, connect the power
adapter.
4. Ask each participant to speak or check yourself that each
headset is working properly. Watch the indicator on the
front panel to see if the headset is working well. The
corresponding channel will show a changing level
synchronously with speaking.
5. The DRUID D06 is ready for usage.
Make sure that the headset’s microphone is as close to
the mouth as possible. This will provide better listening for
your interlocutors and additionally will protect you from lip
reading in cases where there is hidden video surveillance
6. To avoid a loopback effect:
- during conversations do not approach the unit too closely
- If the headset is not put on, switch off its microphone or
disconnect it from the unit
7. During conversations watch the BATTERY bar graph to be
aware of how long the battery will last. If necessary
connect the power adapter
Pairing two DRUID D06
The current version allows the owner to pair two DRUID D06s to
provide speaking facility for up to 12 people. Use the supplied cable
“3.5 mm – to - 3.5 mm” for connecting the same AUX sockets of the
devices. Connect the required number of headsets to the sockets on
both of the units and conduct the conversation as prescribed above.
It is also possible to use 3 DRUID D06 together. In order to do this
you will need an audio splitter to be connected to one of the
DRUID’s AUX socket. Its two output sockets should be connected to
the other DRUIDs with the supplied cables. Please note: The splitter
is not supplied in the standard set.
Bugging
The DRUID D06 system provides protection of conversations
against all kind of listening, not depending on the existence of
eavesdropping devices in the area. But we recommend you use
additional searching and detecting equipment to be informed as to
whether there is ‘bugging’ being performed. Such information is
important as it may help you to change your behavioral activity in the
future.
