Set up the PIR: Xtreme Life™ Wireless QUAD/QUAD LCD
( If your unit is battery operated, it comes with a PIR)
P Passive InfraRed (PIR) sensors detect levels of infrared radiation (IR). The hotter an object is, the more
IR it emits. The PIR sensor, using very little power, allows the transmitter to stay o until activity is detected, conserving battery life. When there is a change in IR levels, considered motion, the transmitter will turn on. When the transmitter turns on, it will automatically pair with the receiver. In order for the transmitter to automatically pair with the receiver, they will rst need to be manually paired. See Initial Setup (pg. 4) for pairing instructions.
P When the transmitter and receiver pair, the
camera’s image will be shown on the monitor. When the PIR sensor no longer detects a change in IR, the transmitter will turn o thus conserving the battery life. While the transmitter is turned o, the camera images will go blank and the image to the right will appear on your LCD screen or monitor . When using / viewing ASP4 software, the camera images will freeze. The next time the PIR detects IR and triggers the transmitter, the image will resume transmitting video.
