Charging the battery
The Hive 2 has a buil t-in rechargeable lithium battery. Make sure the
Hive 2 is switched o. Connect one en d of the Micro USB charge
cable to the Micro USB charg e port (8) on the Hive 2 and connect the other end to your PC or USB mai ns adaptor. The batter y will start charging.

Whilst ch arging, the battery LED ind icator (6) will ash re d when
Battery protection mode
– If you haven’t used the speaker for 90 days, the spea ker will
switch to battery protection mode automatically
– To keep the rechargeable battery in g ood con dition, please
discharge and recharge speaker ever y 3 months, espec ially if you are not using the speaker for lon g periods of time
– To cancel the b atter y protection mod e, simply plug the H ive 2
into a charger
below 30%, ash gree n and red when between 30 – 70%, and ash gre en when above 70%
When ful ly charged, the batter y LED indi cator (6) will turn s olid green
Getting started
– To turn the Hive 2 on, press and hold Power (5) for 5 seconds.
To turn the Hive 2 o, press and hold Powe r (5) for 5 seconds
whilst it is on
The Hive 2 has an auto power o fe ature to save battery power
when not in use. The Hive 2 will automatical ly switch o if it has
not played any audi o for 15 minutes
– Please ensure the rubber feet are free fro m dirt to prevent the
speake r moving/vibrating when play ing music. If the feet need clean ing, simply wipe them with a damp cl oth
Battery LED indicator
Whilst the Hive is turned o n and in us e, the Battery LED indicator (6) will light up to indicate how much power is remai ning in th e battery. It will li ght up as the follow ing:
Green when the bat tery is at 70% charge or above
Green and red when the batte ry is between 3 0% – 70%
Red when th e battery is below 30%
