Before using the glass ceramic hob

To make the most of your new appliance, please read the user instructions carefully and keep them handy for future consultation.

Installation

Hob

The Hob has to be set into a worktop between 20 – 50mm deep.

Do not place any material between the cooktop and oven (cross beams, brackets, etc.)

The distance between the lower face of the glass ceramic hob and the cupboard or separating panel must comply with the sizes shown in figure “A”.

If a column cabinetry unit has to be installed next to the cooktop, leave a distance of at least 100mm from the edge of the cooktop.

Cut out the hole in the work surface to the dimensions shown in

the enclosed description sheet.

Clean the work surface, then apply the gasket around the underneath of the hob (unless it has already been installed).

Important

In order to prevent the electronic circuits overheating and becoming damaged, we recommend the following:

Do not install the hob near a dishwasher, or washing machine as steam or moisture could damage the electronic controls.

Rear wall

Front

If an oven is installed beneath the cook top (from our range of ovens), make sure it is equipped with a cooling system.

If the temperature of the electronic circuits exceeds the maximum permitted temperature, the hob will automatically switch off; if this happens, wait a few minutes until the electronic circuits cool down, at which point it will be possible to turn the hob on again.

• Turn the hob off after use.
