When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles.
3. Do not submerge cord, plug, or Water Kettle in water
or other liquids. The appliance must not be immersed.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
6. Unplug Water Kettle from outlet and allow to cool before cleaning, or removing parts.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest Authorized Service Facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

14. Do not use Water Kettle with loose or weakened handle.
15. Do not clean Water Kettle with cleaners, steel wool,
or other abrasive materials.
16. Do not operate the Kettle on an inclined plane.

18. This product is designed for indoor household use only. Not designed for commercial use.

Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified electrician or serviceman install an outlet near the appliance.

Inserting and removing the lter
Inserting the filter: The filter is located behind the spout inside the Water Kettle. Open the lid. Slide the filter down into the slot behind the spout, making sure that the curve facing outward on the filter matches to the curve of the kettle.
Base
Removing the filter: Open the lid. Grasp
the top of the filter, behind the spout, and pull out to remove.
USING THE WATER KETTLE
Filling the Water Kettle
Before First Use
Before using your Water Kettle, fill with water to the maximum level, boil, then discard water.
IMPORTANT: The Water Kettle is designed to heat water only. Do not put any other liquids
or substances into the Water Kettle.

Press lid release button to open lid. Fill

Water Kettle with cold water.
Push lid down until it locks into place.

There must be a minimum of 0.25 L

Place Water Kettle on the base.

USING THE WATER KETTLE
Setting the water temperature
Slide the temperature selector

knob on the base to the desired setting (50-100° C).
Press the POWER button on the side of

the base. The controls will light up and the Water Kettle will begin to heat.
NOTE: The Water Kettle will stop
automatically once the set temperature is reached. The heating cycle can also be turned off manually by pressing POWER.
The temperature gauge will rise as the

water heats.

Cleaning the Water Kettle and base
IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, always
disconnect the Water Kettle from electrical outlet and make sure that the Water Kettle has cooled completely.
Descaling the Water Kettle

Calcium deposits may form on the interior metal parts of the Water Kettle. To get the best performance from your Water Kettle, clean periodically. The cleaning interval will depend on the hardness of the water you put into the Water Kettle. The use of a commercial descaler is recommended.

Wash Water Kettle and base by hand with a damp cloth. Dry and polish with a soft cloth. Abrasives and scouring agents of any kind are not recommended.
If a commercial descaler is not available:
1. Fill the Water Kettle with white vinegar to the MIN (0.25 L) mark.
2. Add water to the 0.75 L mark.
3. Boil and allow to stand overnight.
4. Empty the solution from the
Water Kettle.
5. Fill the Water Kettle with water, bring to a boil and drain out the water. Repeat this step twice. The Water Kettle is now ready to use.
Cleaning the lter

then rinse under running water.
