Facts about USB 2.0

• All “USB 2.0” drives are not alike - many are not Hi-Speed like the KUSBHS2/256.

• Hi-Speed transfer rates can reach up to 480Mbit/sec – actual speed may be lower.

• The true transfer rate also depends on the device it will be used on.

Confusing labels: Many makers are touting USB 2.0, but they are not true Hi-Speed 2.0 (faster transfer rates). There are 3 basic classifications of USB:

Additional Facts

• Devices without a USB 2.0 port cannot utilize Hi-Speed and will revert to 12Mbit/sec.

• Some devices with a USB 2.0 port cannot process the faster transfers (low-end printers)
