The limited edition DataTraveler® Terra Cotta Warrior 4GB USB
Flash drive features the Terra Cotta Warriors of China, among
the greatest archaeological nds of the 20th century. The drive
has the image of a warrior discovered in one of four pits outside
the tomb complex of China’s First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang
(259–210 BC). Thousands of terra cotta warriors were made
and buried with the Emperor in his tomb, to protect him
throughout eternity. Since their discovery in 1974 by local
farmers, the terra cotta gures have been termed the “Eighth
Wonder of the Ancient World.” Dating from 210 BC, they were
discovered near Xi’an, Shaanxi province in China near the
Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. The gures vary in height
(184–197cm or 6ft–6ft 5in), according to their role; the generals
are the tallest. The gures include warriors, chariots, horses,
ocials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. More than 7,000
gures have been discovered and can be viewed in China, or
at special installments throughout the world.
