PUCHASER ASSUMES ALL RISK IN THE ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION OF THIS PUMP. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE
WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
1. This pump is designed to easily transfer cooking oil from the cooking container to the storage
container and lter out only large particles. This pump does not purify the cooking oil or protect
against contamination. For proper storage instructions and information on cooking oil, refer to the
cooking oil manufacturer’s recommendations.
2. Only use this pump on cooking oil or water. Do not use to pump any other liquid.
3. Cooking oil or water must be cooled to room temperature (below 100° F (38° C)) before inserting
the pump into the liquid or liquid is pumped. Keep pump away from heat and ame.
4. Do not run the pump “dry”, never run the pump when it is not submerged in cooking oil or water.
5. Do not turn pump upside down after use, or allow the battery compartment to get wet at any time.
Remove the batteries when not in use.
6. The pump and its components are NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. Never wash the pump or its components
in a dishwasher.
7. Always keep the handle end, above the clear pumping tube, out of the cooking oil or water.
8. Never operate this pump if it is not working properly, especially if it has been dropped, damaged,
or submerged past the clear pumping tube in cooking oil or water.
9. This pump should never be left unattended when in use.
10. Use this pump only for its intended use of pumping cooking oil or water as described in this

ITEMS NEEDED: FOUR “D” SIZE ALKALINE BATTERIES (NOT INCLUDED)
ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Insert the clear exible outlet tube onto the outlet tting just below
the pump handle. Secure the outlet tube onto the outlet tting by
attaching the locking collar (with the tab facing down) onto the outlet
tting as shown in gure 1. This will secure the clear outlet tube onto
the pump.
2. Snap together the lter cap onto the lter housing. Slide the lter
housing onto the end of the pumping tube until it stops.
3. Remove the battery housing cover by sliding it off the top of the
pump. Follow the diagram on the pump for installing the four “D” size
alkaline batteries (not included) in the pump’s battery housing. Only use
alkaline batteries. Once installed, replace the battery housing cover by
sliding it back onto the pump.
4. Immerse the lter housing into the room temperature cooking oil so
the lter housing is totally covered by the cooking oil. Do not submerge
the pump beyond the clear pumping tube.
5. Wait for the bubbling to stop in the clear pumping tube before
starting the pump. This usually takes approximately 3 to 5 seconds.
Doing this helps prevent an airlock in the pump.
6. Insert the exible clear outlet tube into the oil container that will
receive the cooking oil. The pot/container holding the cooking oil should
be higher than the container into which the cooking oil will be
transfered to. See the placement diagram.
7. Turn the pump “on” by ipping the switch under the handle.
8. Pump as much of the cooking oil out of the pot/container until the
pump stops pumping. Turn the pump “off” by ipping the switch under
the handle.

CLEANING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the pump after every use. Remove the reusable lter and wash it with warm soapy water
and rinse with clean water. Clean the pump by pumping grease cutting detergent (most dish
soaps) with warm water through the pump after each use. Once the pump is clean, rinse the
pump by pumping clean water through the pump. The pump and lter are NOT DISHWASHER
SAFE. Do not store the pump upside down while it is wet because water could seep into the
housing and cause the pump to malfunction. Remove the batteries for storage, and store the
pump in a dry location.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• The pump motor is running and the cooking oil only goes part of the way up the clear pumping tube or
the pump is pumping the cooking oil slowly?
This indicates an air lock in the lter housing which can cause the pump to not pump the oil. Turn the pump
off and let the oil drain down the tube about an inch and then turn the pump back on. Repeat if necessary.
If the problem persits, change to new batteries.
• The pump motor is running but not pumping the cooking oil?
Check the lter to see if it is plugged. If it is, clean the lter. Even though the lter is reusable, it is not
designed or expected to last indenitely. The lter needs to be replaced periodically. Purchase replacement
lters from your retailer or by calling 1-800-783-3885. If the problem persits, change to new batteries.
• The lter appears to be clean and the motor is running but not pumping the cooking oil?
The batteries may need to be replaced. Replace the batteries with four new alkaline batteries.
• The lter appears to be clean, batteries are new, and the motor is running but not pumping the
cooking oil?
The oil may be too cold and thick. Heat the oil up to a maximum temperature of 100° F (38° C) to make the
cooking oil less thick so it can easily pass through the lter.
•The pump motor is running but not pumping the cooking oil?
Check to make sure batteries are in the correct direction.
•Turn the pump on and the pump does not start?
Replace the batteries with four new alkaline batteries.
•Turn the pump on and the pump does not start with the new batteries?
Make sure the battery housing cover is on all the way and the metal contacts on the cover are in contact
with the batteries and batteries are in the correct direction.
