Shade Sail Extension Pole Kit
Package Size: 63”x6”x6” Pole Dimensions: 5’3”x5”x5” When Retracted,
8’5” Lowest Extended Height, 9’2” Maximum Extended Height.
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
It is recommended to use two people when setting up the Shade Sail Extension Pole Kit
NOTE: If you do not have an attachment point on a wall of your home or a xed point you will need a
pole for each corner. 1 Pole is needed for a Triangle Shade Sail, 2 Poles are needed for a Quadrilateral
Shade Sail when the other corners have alternative attachment points. You may need to purchase a
Shade Sail Hardware Pack to attach your Shade Sail to a wall or other xed point.
1. Whether using a Triangle or Quadrilateral the
attachment is the same way. Find a location for
your Shade Sail to attach to a xed point.
2. Stand the Shade Sail Extension Pole upright with
the baseplate on a at surface.
3. Near the bottom of the pole there is a push
button that will release the upper section to
be extended upward (Figure A). There are 5
adjustment holes for your desired height.
4. In this kit there is 30 feet of ¼ inch rope. Cut this
in half. Tie 1 section of the rope through each of
the outer holes on the upper plate (Figure B).
5. Put the snap clip in the center hole and attach
this to the metal loop at the corner of the Shade
Sail (Figure B). Extend the pole upward to your
desired height.
6. Move the pole outward away from the xed
point of attachment until it feels tight (Figure C).
7. While 1 person is holding the pole upright, put
2 nail spikes through the outer holes on the base
plate (Figure D).
8. Measure out from the base plate approximately
2 to 3 feet, depending on your space; screw both
anchors into the dirt or grass as shown in the
diagram (Figure E).

9. Pull the loose ends of each rope through each
eyelet of the anchors, pull snug and tie the loose
end of the rope back to the lead part of the rope.
This is done to stabilize the pole in place (Figure
E).

warranty period.

King Canopy provides a 90-day limited warranty
on this product. This King Canopy product is
warranted by King Canopy to be free from defects
in material and workmanship for 90 days from date
of purchase. Should you make a claim against this
warranty, you will be required to show proof of
purchase at that time. Please retain your receipt
for future presentation. During this period, if the
Product is found to be defective in material or
workmanship, King Canopy will at its option, either
repair or replace this Product without charge,
subject to the following conditions, limitations and
exclusions:
1. This warranty extends to the original consumer
purchaser only and is not assignable or transferable.
2. This warranty shall not apply to any Product
which has been subjected to misuse, abuse,
abnormal use, negligence, alteration or accident.

3. This warranty does not apply to any defects or
damage directly or indirectly caused by or resulting
from the use of unauthorized replacement parts.
4. In returning this product for repair or replacement
under this warranty, the original consumer must
prepay all postage, shipping transportation,
insurance and delivery cost and the product must
be delivered in either its original carton or a similar
package aording an equal degree of protection.
King Canopy will not be responsible for any loss or
damage incurred in connection with the return of
this product.
