with its operation and the relevant warnings.

therefore, to read them carefully before installing and using the appliance.
Installation
l Any modification of the domestic electrical
system which may be necessary prior to the
installation of the appliance should be
carried out solely and exclusively by
competent personnel.
Child Safety
l This appliance has been designed for use
by adults. Care should therefore be taken
that children do not attempt to play with it.
l The oven remains hot for a considerable
length of time after being switched off.
Children must be watched continuously,
and special care should be taken that they
neither touch the surfaces and nor play
anywhere near the appliance, either when it
is in operation or before it has cooled down
completely.
During Use
l This product was designed for cooking
food, and must not be used for other
purposes.
l Care must also be taken when using spray
cleaning products . Never direct the spray
onto the filter (in those appliances which
possess one), the resistances and the
thermostat bulb.
l Always use oven gloves when removing
dishes from the oven.
l It is dangerous to modify or attempt to
modify the characteristics of the appliance.
l Ensure that the control knobs are in the
0 position when the appliance is not in
operation.
l Always insert the dripping-pan when using
the grill or cooking meat on the grill.
l Make sure that the oven grills have been
inserted correctly.
l Ensure that the appliance is unplugged and
completely cooled before undertaking any
maintenance or cleaning operation.
l Do not line the walls of the oven, especially
the lower part, with tinfoil.
l Pour a little water into the dripping-pan to
avoid burning fats producing unpleasant
odours.
l For reasons of hygiene and safety this
appliance must always be kept clean (see
relative instructions).
l When the oven and the grill are in use the
appliance is subject to considerable
heating of the glass of the oven door and the
adjacent parts. Care should therefore be
taken that children do not attempt to play
anywhere near it.
l If other electrical appliances are plugged
into a socket near the oven, make sure that
the cable neither touches the heated
cooking zones nor gets caught in the oven
door.
Technical Assistance
l In the case of technical problems, contact
your nearest Technical Assistance Centre
and be sure to ask for original spare parts.
l Never attempt to carry out any type of repair
yourself. Repairs done by unqualified
individuals can cause damage to the
appliance. Contact your nearest Assistance
Centre and use only original spare parts.
Environmental Information
l After installation, please dispose of the
packaging with due regard to safety and the
environment.
l When disposing of an old appliance, make it
unusable, by cutting off the cable.

Operation
Oven function control knob
The oven function control knob can be set
on the following symbols and functions:
Oven light
Upper and lower heating elements
Upper heating element
Lower heating element
Simple grill element
Double grill element
Fan grill element
Convection heating element

Thermostat Control Knob
Turn the thermostat control knob clockwise
to select temperatures between 50°C and
250°C (MAX).
The Safety Thermostat
This oven is provided with a safety
thermostat. In case of malfunctioning of the
main thermostat, and consequent overheating, the safety device will stop the power
supply to the appliance. If this happens, call
your local Service Centre. Under no
circumstances should you attempt to repair
the appliance yourself.
Cooling fan
The cooling fan operates during cooking. Air
is expelled through vents between the oven
door and the control panel.
The cooling fan may run on after the oven is
switched off to keep the controls cool. This
is quite normal.

The electronic timer can indicate the time
of day, operate as a minute minder and
automatically operate the oven.
Before the oven can be operated, the time
of day must be set on the electronic timer.
Please note that this is a 24 hour clock. For
example, 2pm is shown as 14:00.

Programming controls
In case of loss of power, all the settings
(time of day, set program or program in
operation), will be cancelled. When the
power is restored, the numbers on the
display will flash, and the timer has to be
reset.
Press buttons and , and at the same
time turn the time setting knob until the
correct time of day is displayed.
To set the Minute Minder
Press button and at the same time turn
the setting time knob until the duration time
is displayed (maximum 23 hours, 59
minutes).
Our diagram shows the timer set for 35
minutes. After a few seconds the time of
day will show in the display.
To check the number of minutes remaining,
press the button. At the end of the timed
period an alarm will sound. To switch off the
alarm press button .

Press button to set the oven for manual
function.
To set the Timer to switch
off only
This is useful if you want to begin cooking
immediately but have the oven switch off
automatically.
1. Set the oven function control knob and
the thermostat control knob on the
required settings.
2. Place food in the oven.
3. Press button and, at the same time,
turn the time setting knob until the
required cooking duration is displayed.
Our diagram shows the timer set for 1 hour
10 minutes.
At the end of the cooking time the oven will
switch off, an alarm will sound. Turn the oven
and thermostat control knob to zero.
To switch off the alarm press button .

To set the Timer to switch the
Oven on and off
1. Ensure the clock is showing the right
time of day.
2. Carry out steps 1, 2 and 3 as explained
in "To set the timer to switch off only".
3. Press button and at the same time
turn the time setting knob until the end
cooking time is displayed.
Our diagram shows the end cooking time set
for 7:35 pm.
At the end of the cooking time turn the oven
and thermostat control knob to zero.

To cancel a programme
1. Press button and, at the same
time, turn the time setting knob until the
cooking duration is set on "zero".
2. If the end cooking time has been set
too, press button and at the same
time turn the time setting knob until the
end cooking time is set on "zero".

Child Safety Function
To avoid children switching on the oven, it
is possible to lock the oven controls. To
lock the oven controls, the oven must be
switched off.
To lock the oven controls:
1. Press buttons and at the same
time and keep them pressed for about
8 seconds. "ON" appears on the display.
2. Release the buttons, then turn the time
setting knob: "OF" and the Child safety
function Symbol ( ) will show in the
display. After a few seconds the display
will revert to the time of day. The oven
is now locked.
To unlock the oven:
1. Press buttons and at the same
time and keep them pressed for about
8 seconds. "OF" appears on the display.
2. Release the buttons, then turn the time
setting knob: the Child safety function
Symbol ( ) will go out and "ON" will
show on the display. After a few seconds
the display will revert to the time of day.
The oven can now be operated.
Night dimming function
Between 22:00 (10pm) and 6:00 (6am) the
figures and symbols on the display will dim.
This will not happen if an automatic
function (minute minder, cooking duration,
end of cooking time) is selected.
