STEP 2
As seen in Figure 1, punch out appropriate partially drilled holes on the left and right hand side of the Shell (A). As displayed in Figures 2 & 3, determine correct orientation of L-brackets (D) for the desired back position/location. Attach 2 L-Brackets (D) to Shell (A) and Reinforcement Bar** (J) using 4 washers, 4 Bracket to Shell Screws (F) and 2 Weld Nuts. Repeat for 2 remaining L-Brackets. This assembly is illustrated in Figure 6.
**Reinforcement Bars are only included with 22” and 24” back models.
ADJUSTMENT CHOICES:
Fore/Aft: The L-Brackets (D) can be mounted in 2 directions to allow for Drop-In or Forward placement of the Shell to the wheelchair push handles as seen in Figures 2 & 3.
Recline/Tilt: By alternating the L-Brackets (D), the Back Shell (A) can be set at greater angle positions, which is displayed in Figure 3.
For back adjustment, the L-Brackets (D) allows a 3” range of lateral adjustment of the back and a 4 3/8” range of posterior/anterior adjustment for growth.

STEP 6 (optional)
The VERSAlock®Hardware (I) can be installed and used as securing hardware and/or positioning guides for the Back. The top portion of the VERSAlock hardware slides over the TensionHooks with a spring-loaded snapaction to hold the Back in place as can be seen in Figures 8 and 9.
The VERSAlock comes with a set of fasteners that allow it to accommodate a range of tube sizes including 7/8” and 1”. In order to install the VERSAlock, snap over bar, insert the proper fasteners and scre secured VERSAlock can be seen in Figure 10.
STEP 7
If installing Deep Contour Supports, punch out the two holes located on each side of the shell as seen in Figure 7. Attach the supports, adjust their position, and tighten fasteners and weld
STEP 8
Once all the hardware is in place, you can reposition the Back Cushion (B) in its original position on the Back Shell (A). Align the TensionHooks (C) with the wheelchair push handles and press firmly until they snap into place. Tighten all parts to 20in-lb (2.3Nm) and click the four VERSAlocks (I) into position. This action is illustrated in Figures 8 & 9. Figure 10 shows the TensionHook secured by the VERSAlock.
