1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the KickAss Outdoor Cinema Projector. We designed this projector alongside our optional DC-DC vehicle adapter (sold separately) to offer you the flexibility of being able to use it at home or while you're on an adventure away from home. Please ensure you read through the following information before use for the best entertainment experience.
User’s Guide
• In this manual, we refer only to the model KAODCPPRO.
• Be sure to read the 'Safety Precautions' in this document, and make sure you use this product correctly.

2. Precautions
How to use the device correctly:
Do not look directly at or into the lens while the device is in use.

To avoid overheating do not block or obstruct the ventilation panels on the device.
(3)
Avoid using chemicals to clean the device. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.

Please keep out of reach of children.
(5)
Store the device is a well ventilated and dry area. Between 5-30°C

Do not place heavy objects on top of the device.
(7)
Handle the device with care, avoid shaking, throwing and dropping.
(8)
Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device. Please contact Customer Support for assistance with any technical or operational enquiries.
(9)
If the device is in use for more than 8 hours, it is recommended that the device should be turned off for 30 minutes.

4. Optional Accessories
DC-DC Vehicle Adapter
The optional DC-DC Vehicle adapter can be
used to power your KickAss Outdoor Cinema
Projector from any power source with a 12V
Cigarette socket. A great addition to power the
unit from a battery box, vehicle or caravan.

6. Operating Instructions
For Best Results
• Use the projector in a dark room or at night.
• Make sure the projector is on a flat, level surface.
• Do not place the projector in direct sunlight or near any source of direct heat.
• Handle the projector with care.
Getting Started
Connect the power plug to the projector.

Insert the wireless adapter UWA5 into the Wi-Fi interface (USB2 port of the projector).
(3)
To turn on the projector, hold the power button for 3 seconds until the device beeps.
(4)
Adjust focus ring until image is clear and focused. Adjust the keystone correction wheel manually to correct the vertical edges of the image.
7. Adjustments
Adjusting Height and Angle
(1)
Simply unscrew the height adjustment piece on the bottom of the projector until it has reached the desired height or angle.
Mounting Your Projector
(1)
Simply unscrew the screw on the bottom of the projector.
(2)
Screw your projector directly onto our specially designed Portable Projector and Camera Tripod.

8. Start Up and Connecting to Wi-Fi
Select the start-up language.

WiFi setting: connect the projector to your

router and enter the password. Connect the projector to your WiFi. After connecting to wifi you can now

navigate through the main menu using the arrow keys on the remote controller. Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, EZCast, Multimedia, HDMI, and Setting, as shown on the right;
Settings
Language settings: Press the left and right arrow keys to select and change the

language. Firmware Update: To update the firmware using WIFI ensure the projector is
(2)
connected to the internet and select the 'Update' option. Advanced Settings: Colour adjustment.
(3)
Reset Menu: To reset the projector back to factory settings and delete all data,
(4)
select 'yes' in the reset menu.
Shutting Down The Projector:
To turn off the projector, hold the power button for 3 seconds until the device beeps.

9. Projecting an Image
Multimedia Playback
Insert a USB flash drive into the USB1 port or insert SD Card into the SD Card

port. Select 'Multimedia > USB or SD Card > Video, Music or Photo to view the media
(2)
Using the arrow keys, select the media file and press 'OK'.
(3)
To view the menu again press 'OK' and select the next file by using the arrow
(4)
keys.
Supported Formats
1. Android
Open the Google Play Store

and download the app EZCast on your Android device. On the main menu of the

projector select 'Plug and Play' and press OK. Connect your Android device
(3)
to the projector via the USB charging cable and enable 'USB Tethering' on your device. Open the EZCast App and

select 'Beam-XXXX' to play media.
2. iOS
Open the App Store and

download the EZCast app on your iOS device. On the main menu of the

projector select 'Plug and Play' and press OK. Connect your iOS device to

the projector via the USB charging cable. Select 'Trust This Computer' to

view the media.

Visit https://www.ezcast.com/app and download the EZCast App onto your

desktop. On the main menu of the projector select 'Plug and Play' and press OK.

Connect your PC to the projector via USB A-to-A Cable.

Open the EZCast App and select 'Beam-XXXX' to play media.
4. Mac OS
Visit https://www.ezcast.com/app and download the EZCast App onto your

1. Android
Requires Android 5.0 or above. On the main menu of the projector select 'Android' and press OK. Then select

'Wireless'. Select the screen mirroring function on your Android device and select 'Beam-

xxxx' from the device list to start mirroring.
2. iOS
Requires iOS 12 or above.

On the main menu of the projector select 'iOS' and press OK. Then select 'Wireless'.
(2)
Select the screen mirroring function on your iOS device and select 'Beam-xxxx' from the device list to start mirroring.

Requires most recent Windows update. On the main menu of the projector select 'Windows 10' and press OK. Then select

4. Mac OS
On the main menu of the projector select 'Mac OS' and press OK. Then select

'Wireless'. Ensure the projector and computer are connected to the same WIFI network.

Select Screen Mirroring and connect to 'Beam-xxxx' to view the media.

5. Google Home Screen Mirroring (Android Only)
Download and install the Google Home app from the Google Play Store.

On the main menu of the projector select 'Android' and press OK. Then select

'Google Home'. Ensure the projector and computer are connected to the same WIFI network.

Open the Google Home app and go to Account > Mirror Device > Select 'Beam­xxxx' to view the media.
6. EZCast
Download and install the EZCast app from the Google Play Store/App Store

alternatively visit https://www.ezcast.com/app to download EZCast onto your computer. On the main menu of the projector select 'EZCast' and press OK.

Ensure the projector and your device are connected to the same WIFI network.

Open the EZCast app on your device and click the icon, select

12. Troubleshooting
Issue Solution
Projector won't turn on
Unable to use screen mirroring/connect my device
1. Check that the power cord is connected properly and not damaged.
2. Hold down the Power button for 3 seconds until you hear a 'beeping' sound, then release the button and the projector should begin to turn on.
1. Ensure the projector is connected to WIFI.
2. Refer to the guide to ensure you are correctly using the screen mirroring function on your device.
Alternatively visit: https://www.ezcast.com/support and select your
device for further support.
3. If you experience a delay with the media, ensure the distance between the device and projector is close.
4. Ensure the device is connected to the SSID of the projector.
Unable to play media from online
Unable to complete online update
Image will not focus
1. Check the network connection.
2. Check that the wireless network card UWA5 is inserted into the USB port.
3. Contact your network provider for further assistance.
1. Ensure the WIFI is connected and check the connection.
2. Select OTA upgrade in 'Settings'.
3. Check whether there is a firmware update.
1. Ensure the distance between the projector and display are is suitable, you may have to extend the distance.
2. Check whether the lens is clean.
