NOTE: Height of fixture must be adjusted before fixture is mounted to ceiling.
1) For each pendant, loosen threaded stud on strain relief on canopy. Insert cord into
hole in strain relief and up into canopy.
2) To adjust the length of the cord to achieve the desired height of the mounted
fixture: Carefully pull cord up into canopy to shorten the height of fixture or
carefully pull cord down to lengthen the height of fixture. When desired height
is achieved, tighten threaded stud on strain relief. Tie cord protruding from inside
canopy in knot and tighten knot securely.
3) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the
electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home. Place the main
power switch in the “OFF” position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker switch(s), that control
the power to the fixture or room that you are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture
to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in the “OFF” position.
4) Place mounting bracket up against ceiling. Align hole in center of mounting
bracket with outlet box.
5) Determine desired position of mounting bracket. Mark holes at each end of
mounting bracket on ceiling.
6) Remove mounting bracket. At marked positions, drill holes for anchors.
7) Insert one anchor into each hole.
8) Attach fixture mounting screws to mounting bracket: From the side of the mounting
bracket that will be against the ceiling, thread each fixture mounting screw down
through each fixture mounting screw hole. Thread one hexnut onto each end of
mounting screw protruding from other side of mounting bracket. Tighten each
hexnut up against mounting bracket.
9) Place mounting bracket up against ceiling. Pull outlet box wires through center
hole of mounting bracket.
10) Thread outlet mounting box screws into slots in mounting bracket and into holes
in outlet box. Do not fully tighten screws yet.
11) Align holes at each end of mounting bracket with anchors in ceiling. Thread one
screw into each hole in each end of mounting bracket and into anchors in ceiling.
12) Completely tighten screws from step 10 and 11.
13) From the inside of the canopy, gather the three cords from the fixtures running in a
row along the front of the canopy into one group in the center of the canopy.

14) Gather the three cords from the fixtures running in a row along the back of the
canopy into a second group in the center of the canopy. REF: Fixture wiring detail.
15) For each cord, from the point where the cord meets in the center of canopy,
measure 6" of cord passed that point. Trim each cord. REF: Fixture wiring detail.
16) For each cord, with wire strippers, remove 2 inches from end of each wire jacket.
Then strip 1/2 inch from end of each color wire. REF: Stripped Wires Detail and
Fixture Wiring Detail.
17) Connect safety cable assembled to canopy to mounting bracket. (This will allow
for fixture to be supported while wire connections are made.)
18) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised
dimples. Wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw, and
thread into hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach ground wire from
outlet box under cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread into
mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture ground wire to outlet box
ground wire with wire connector. (Not provided.) After following the above steps.
Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

19) Connect each black wire together with one black jumper wire with wire connector.

20) Connect each green wire together with one green jumper wire with wire connector.

21) Connect each white wire together with one white jumper wire with wire connector.

22) Make wire connections from jumper wires to outlet box wires. (Connectors not
provided.) Reference chart below for correct connections and wire accordingly.

23) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws on mounting bracket
through each hole in canopy. CAUTION: Be careful not to pinch wires between
canopy and ceiling.
24) Screw threaded balls onto mounting screws. Tighten mounting screws to secure
fixture to ceiling.
25) Raise outer glass shade up to fixture. Pass hole in outer glass shade over socket.
26) Slip spacer over socket inside outer glass shade.
27) Raise inner glass shade up to fixture. Pass hole in inner glass shade over socket.
28) Thread socket ring onto socket. Tighten socket ring to secure glass in place. (DO
NOT over tighten.)

NOTA: La altura del artefacto tiene que ser ajustada antes de que el artefacto sea
montado en el techo.
1) Para cada colgante, afloje el espárrago roscado sobre el alivio de tensión en el
escudete. Inserte el cordón dentro del agujero en el alivio de tensión y hacia
arriba dentro del escudete.
2) Para ajustar la longitud del cordón para lograr la altura deseada del artefacto
montado: Jale el cordón cuidadosamente hacia adentro del escudete para acortar
la altura del artefacto, o cuidadosamente jale hacia abajo el cordón para alargar la
altura del artefacto. Cuando sea lograda la altura deseada, apriete el espárrago
roscado en el alivio de tensión. Amarre el cordón que sobresale desde el interior
del escudete en un nudo y apriete el nudo de forma segura.
3) APAGUE LA ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de comenzar, NUNCA trate de trabajar sin antes desconectar
la corriente hasta que el trabajo se termine.
a) Vaya a la caja principal de fusibles, o interruptor o caja de circuitos de su casa.
Coloque el interruptor de la corriente principal en posición de apagado “OFF”.
b) Desatornille el (los) fusible (s), o coloque el interruptor o interruptores del
breaker en posición de apagado “OFF”, que controla (n) la corriente hacia el
artefacto o habitación donde está trabajando.
c) Coloque el interruptor de pared en posición de apagado “OFF”. Si el artefacto
que se va a reemplazar tiene un interruptor o cadena que se jala, colóquelos
en la posición de apagado “OFF”.
4) Coloque el soporte de montaje contra el techo. Alinee el agujero en el centro
del soporte de montaje con la caja de conexiones.
5) Determine la posición deseada del soporte de montaje. Marque los agujeros
en cada extremo del soporte de montaje en el techo.
6) Remueva el soporte de montaje. En las posiciones marcadas, perfore agujeros
para las anclas.
7) Inserte un ancla dentro de cada agujero.
8) Sujete los tornillos de montaje al soporte de montaje: Desde el lado del soporte
de montaje que estará contra el techo, enrosque cada tornillo de montaje del
artefacto hacia abajo a través de cada agujero de tornillo de montaje del artefacto.
Enrosque una tuerca hexagonal dentro de cada extremo de tornillo de montaje
que sobresale desde el otro lado del soporte de montaje. Apriete cada tuerca
hexagonal hacia arriba contra el soporte de montaje.
9) Coloque el soporte de montaje hacia arriba contra el techo. Jale los alambres de
la caja de conexiones a través del agujero del centro del soporte de montaje.
10) Enrosque los tornillos de la caja de montaje dentro de las ranuras en el soporte de
montaje y dentro de los agujeros en la caja de conexiones. No apriete totalmente
los tornillos en este momento.
11) Alinee los agujeros en cada extremo del soporte de montaje con las anclas en el
techo. Enrosque un tornillo dentro de cada agujero en cada extremo del soporte
de montaje y dentro de las anclas en el techo.
12) Apriete completamente los tornillos de los pasos 10 y 11,
13) Desde el interior del escudete, reúna los cuatro cordones desde los artefactos
instalados en una hilera a lo largo del frente del escudete dentro de un grupo en el
centro del escudete. REF.: Detalle de alambrado del artefacto.
14) Reúna los cuatro cordones desde los artefactos instalados en una hilera a lo largo
de la parte trasera del escudete dentro de un segundo grupo en el centro del
escudete. REF.: Detalle de alambrado del artefacto.
15) Para cada cordón, desde el punto donde el cordón se encuentra en el centro del
escudete, mida 6" de cordón a partir de ese punto. Recorte cada cordón. REF.:

16) Para cada cordón, con las pinzas para pelar alambre, remueva 2 pulgadas desde
el extremo de cada cubierta de alambre. Después pele 1/2 pulgada desde el
extremo de cada alambre de color. REF.: Detalle de los alambres pelados y

17) Acople el cable de seguridad en la ranura de la abrazadera de montaje. (Esto
permitirá que el artefacto que se va a usar mientras las conexiones de alambre
están hechos.)
18) Instrucciones de conexión a tierra solamente para los Estados Unidos. (Vea la
ilustracion A o B).
A) En las lámparas que tienen el fleje, de montaje con un agujero y dos hoyuelos
realzados. Enrollar el alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente alrededor del
tornillo verde y pasarlo por el aquiero.
B) En las lámparas con una arandela acopada. Fijar el alambre a tierra de la caja
tomacorriente del ajo de la arandela acoada y tornillo verde, y paser por el
fleje de montaje.
Si la lámpara viene con alambre a tierra. Conecter el alambre a tierra de la
lámpara al alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente con un conector de alambres.
(No incluido) Espués de seguir los pasos anteriores. Nunca conectar el
alambra a tierra a los alambres eléctros negro o blanco.

21) Conecte cada alambre blanco conjuntamente con un alambre de conexión blanco

22) Haga les conexiones de los alambres (no se proveen los connectores.) La tabla de
referencia de abajo indica las conexiones correctas y los alambres correspondientes.

23) Empuje el artefacto hacia el techo, pasando cuidadosamente los tornillos de
montaje en el soporte de montaje a través de cada agujero en el escudete.
PRECAUCIÓN: Tenga cuidado para no pellizcar los alambres entre el escudete y
el techo.
24) Atornille las esferas roscadas sobre los tornillos de montaje. Apriete los tornillos
de montaje para asegurar el artefacto al techo.
25) Eleve la vidrio exterior pantalla hacia el artefacto. Pase el agujero en la vidrio
exterior pantalla sobre el casquillo.
26) Deslice el espaciador sobre el casquillo en la vidrio exterior pantalla.
27) Eleve la vidrio interior pantalla hacia el artefacto. Pase el agujero en la vidrio
interior pantalla sobre el casquillo.
28) Rosque el anillo del casquillo en el casquillo. Apriete el anillo del casquillo para
asegurar la pantalla en su lugar.
