1) Raise shade up to fixture. Fit shade inside cage on fixture.
Align holes in bracket on shade with holes in bracket on
inside of cage.
2) Thread screws down from holes in bracket on cage and
down into holes in bracket on shade.
3) From inside shade, thread ball knobs onto ends of screws.
Tighten ball knobs to secure shade in place.
4) Slip fixture body up through center of shade.
5) Pass end of threaded pipe up through hole in bracket on top
of shade.
6) Thread coupling onto end of threaded pipe protruding up
through center of shade.
7) Insert recommended bulbs.
8) Screw short end of threaded pipe with hexnut into bottom of
fixture body.
9) Slip one flat washer then one rubber washer over end of
threaded pipe inside cage.
10) Raise diffuser up to fixture. Pass hole in diffuser over end of
threaded pipe.
11) Slip one rubber washer then one flat washer over end of
threaded pipe.
12) Thread hexnut onto end of threaded pipe. Tighten hexnut to
secure diffuser in place. (DO NOT over tighten.)
13) Pass hole in bottom trim over end of threaded pipe.
14) Thread finial onto each end of threaded pipe. (DO NOT over
tighten.)
15) Pass wire from fixture through stem and screw stem to top of
fixture. NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to
all stem threads as noted with symbol (3) to prevent
accidental rotation of fixture during cleaning, relamping, etc.
16) Pass fixture wire through remaining stems and screw stems
together.
17) Attach small loop to end of last stem.
18) Attach chain link to small loop at end of stem and to loop on
canopy.
19) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work
without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your
home. Place the main power switch in the “OFF” position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker
switch(s), that control the power to the fixture or room
that you are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture
to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in
the “OFF” position.
20) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap.
Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes.
21) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided).
Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.
22) Attach safety cable to slot in mounting strap.
23) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a
hole and two raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach
ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw, and thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture
ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector.
(Not provided.) After following the above steps. Never
connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

25) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws
through holes in canopy.
26) Thread knurl knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten knurl
knobs to secure fixture to ceiling.

1) Levante la pantalla hasta el artefacto. Encaje la pantalla
dentro de la jaula en el artefacto. Alinee los agujeros en el
soporte en la pantalla con los agujeros en el soporte en la
parte interna de la jaula.
2) Rosque los tornillos desde los agujeros en el soporte en la
jaula y en los agujeros en el soporte en la pantalla.
3) Desde dentro de la pantalla, rosque las perillas redondas en
las terminaciones de los tornillos. Apriete las perillas
redondas para asegurar la pantalla en su lugar.
4) Deslice el cuerpo del artefacto a través del centro de la
pantalla.
5) Pase el extremo del tubo roscado a través del agujero en el
soporte en la parte superior de la pantalla.
6) Atornillar el acoplamiento en el extremo del tubo roscado
que sobresale a través del centro de la pantalla.
7) Inserte la bombilla recomendada.
8) Atornille el extremo corto del tubo roscado con aislador de
cuenta en el acoplamiento en la parte inferior del artefacto.
9) Resbale uno arandela plana, luego uno arandela de caucho
encima cada extremo del tubo roscado dentro de la jaula.
10) Levante el difusor hasta el artefacto. Pasar el agujero en
el difusor sobre extremo de tubo roscado.
11) Resbale uno arandela de caucho, luego uno arandela plana
encima extremo del tubo roscado.
12) Atornille el tuerca hexagonal en el tubo roscado.
13) Pase la guarnición inferior encima del tubo roscado
14) Atornille el capuchón al tubo roscado. (NO apriete
excesivamente.)
15) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través del vástago y atornille
el vástago al tope del artefacto. NOTA: El compuesto para
rosca estanca se debe aplicar a todas las roscas del
vástago como se notó con el símbolo (3) para impedir la
rotación accidental del artefacto durante la limpieza,
instalación de una bombilla nueva, etc.
16) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través de los vástagos
restantes y atornille los vástagos juntos.
17) Una la argolla pequeña a la última varilla.
18) Acople un eslabón de cadena al lazo pequeño en el extremo
del vástago y al lazo en el escudete.
19) APAGUE LA ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de comenzar, NUNCA trate de trabajar
sin antes desconectar la corriente hasta que el trabajo se
termine.
a) Vaya a la caja principal de fusibles, o interruptor o caja
de circuitos de su casa. Coloque el interruptor de la
corriente principal en posición de apagado “OFF”.
b) Desatornille el (los) fusible (s), o coloque el interruptor o
interruptores del breaker en posición de apagado
“OFF”, que controla (n) la corriente hacia el artefacto o
habitación donde está trabajando.
c) Coloque el interruptor de pared en posición de apagado
“OFF”. Si el artefacto que se va a reemplazar tiene un
interruptor o cadena que se jala, colóquelos en la
posición de apagado “OFF”.
20) Encontrar los agujeros roscados correctos en la abrazadera
de montaje. Instalar los tornillos de montaje en los agujeros
roscados.
21) Unir la abrazadera de montaje a la caja de conexiones. (No
se proveen tornillos). La abrazadera de montaje puede
ajustarse para acomodar la posición del artefacto.
22) Acople el cable de seguridad en la ranura de la abrazadera
de montaje.
23) Instrucciones de conexión a tierra solamente para los
Estados Unidos. (Vea la ilustracion A o B).
A) En las lámparas que tienen el fleje, de montaje con un
agujero y dos hoyue los realzados. Enrollar el alambre a
tierra de la caja tomacorriente alrededor del tornillo
verde y pasarlo por el aquiero.
B) En las lámparas con una arandela acopada. Fijar el
alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente del ajo de la
arandela acoada y tornillo verde, y paser por el fleje de
montaje.
Si la lámpara viene con alambre a tierra. Conecter el
alambre a tierra de la lámpara al alambre a tierra de la caja
tomacorriente con un conector de alambres (no incluido)
espués de seguir los pasos anteriores. Nunca conectar el
alambra a tierra a los alambres eléctros negro o blanco.

25) Empuje el artefacto hacia el techo, pasando cuidadosamente
los tornillos de montaje a través de los orificios en el escudete.
26) Atornille las perillas estriadas en los tornillos de montaje.
Ajuste las perillas estriadas para fijar el artefacto en el techo.
