1) Lower bar with socket clusters down through top of outer shade.
2) Place outer shade with bar over inner shade.
3) Align holes at each end of bar with holes in each bracket on inside of inner
shade.
4) Thread screws down through each hole in bar and into holes in brackets.
Tighten screws to secure inner shade in place.
5) Insert recommended bulbs.
6) Thread one small threaded pipe into each stem on the bottom of each socket
cluster.
7) Thread one hexnut onto end of each threaded pipe.
8) Slip one flat washer then one rubber washer over end of each threaded pipe.
9) Raise diffuser up to fixture. Pass holes in diffuser over end of each threaded
pipe.
10) Slip one rubber washer then one flat washer over end of each threaded pipe.
Thread one hexnut onto end of each threaded pipe
11) Thread one finial onto end of each threaded pipe. Tighten finials to secure
diffuser in place. (DO NOT over tighten.)
12) Determine the amount of stems necessary to achieve desired height of
fixture. CAUTION: At least one 6" stem must be used.
13) Pass fixture wire from each coupling on bar through each stem and screw
each stem to coupling on top of bar. NOTE: Thread locking compound must
be applied to all stem threads as noted with symbol (3) to prevent accidental
rotation of fixture during cleaning, relamping, etc.
14) Pass fixture wire through each remaining stems and screw remaining stems
together.
15) After desired number of stems are assembled to fixture, shorten the cables
just until taut. Refer to Cable Length Adjustment Instructions below.
NOTE: Fixture may be hung with or without loops and chain link.

With loops and chain link:
16) Thread one small threaded pipe into end of each small loop.
17) Pass fixture wire from one last stem up through threaded pipe in end of
one small loop. Thread that small loop onto the end of stem.
18) Repeat step 17 for other last stem.
19) Attach one chain link to each small loop at end of each last stem.
20) Attach one small loop to end of each chain link.
21) Pass fixture wire through hole in second small loop.
22) Pass fixture wire from each small loop through each hole in canopy. Lower
canopy down over stems. Pass holes in canopy over each threaded pipe at
end of each small loop.
23) Pass fixture wire through each hole in canopy cover. Lower canopy cover
down into canopy. Pass threaded pipes from inside canopy through holes
in canopy cover.
24) From each small threaded pipe protruding from top of canopy cover pass
fixture wire through hole in one lockwasher. Thread each lockwasher onto
end of each threaded pipe.
25) Pass fixture wire through hole in each hexnut. Thread each hexnut onto end
of each threaded pipe.
FOLLOW STEPS 26-32 TO COMPLETE INSTALLATION.
Without loops and chain link:
16) Pass fixture wire from end of each last stem through one small threaded pipe.
Thread one small threaded pipe into end of each last stem.
17) Pass fixture wire through holes in canopy. Lower canopy down and pass
holes in canopy over each end of threaded pipe on stems.
18) Pass fixture wire through each hole in canopy cover. Lower canopy cover
down into canopy. Pass threaded pipes from inside canopy through holes
in canopy cover.
19) From each small threaded pipe protruding from top of canopy cover pass
fixture wire through hole in one lockwasher. Thread each lockwasher onto
end of each threaded pipe.
20) Pass fixture wire through hole in each hexnut. Thread each hexnut onto end
of each threaded pipe.
FOLLOW STEPS 26-32 TO COMPLETE INSTALLATION.
26) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work without shutting off
the electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your home. Place the main
power switch in the “OFF” position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker switch(s), that
control the power to the fixture or room that you are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture to be replaced
has a switch or pull chain, place those in the “OFF” position.
27) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap. Assemble mounting
screws into threaded holes.
28) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws provided). Mounting strap can be
adjusted to suit position of fixture.
29) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised
dimples. Wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw, and
thread into hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach ground wire from
outlet box under cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread into
mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture ground wire to outlet
box ground wire with wire connector. (Not provided.) After following the above
steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

30) Make wire connections (connectors not provided.) Reference chart below for
correct connections and wire accordingly.
31) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws through holes in
canopy.
32) Thread knurl knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten knurl knobs to secure
fixture to ceiling.
1) Adjust the length of the cables to achieve the desired height of the mounted
fixture. (See cable adjustment detail)
To raise fixture: Push cable up into canopy. Release cable and cable will lock
into place.
To lower fixture: Push button in on cable adjuster and pull cable down.
Release button to lock cable in place.
NOTE: With button pushed in cable will raise and lower. Without button
pushed in cable will only raise up and lock in place.

1) Descienda la barra con los grupos de portalámparas a través de la parte superior

2) Coloque la pantalla externa con la barra sobre la pantalla interna.
3) Alinee los agujeros en cada extremo de la barra con los agujeros en cada soporte
en el interior de la pantalla interna.
4) Enrosque los tornillos hacia abajo a través de cada agujero en la barra y dentro de
los agujeros en los soportes. Apriete los tornillos para asegurar la pantalla interna
en su lugar.
5) Inserte las bombillas (focos) recomendados.
6) Enrosque un tubo roscado pequeño dentro de cada vástago en la parte inferior de
cada grupo de portalámparas.
7) Enrosque una tuerca hexagonal sobre el extremo de cada tubo roscado.
8) Deslice una arandela plana después una arandela de goma sobre el extremo de
cada tubo roscado.
9) Eleve el difusor hacia el artefacto. Pase los agujeros en el difusor sobre el extremo
de cada tubo roscado.
10) Deslice una arandela de goma después una arandela plana sobre el extremo de
cada tubo roscado. Enrosque una tuerca hexagonal sobre el extremo de cada tubo
roscado.
11) Enrosque un capuchón sobre el extremo de cada tubo roscado. Apriete los
capuchones para asegurar el difusor en su lugar. (NO apriete demasiado).
12) Determine la cantidad de vástagos necesarios para lograr la altura deseada del
artefacto. PRECAUCIÓN: Al menos un vástago de 6 pulgadas debe ser utilizado.
13) Pase el alambre del artefacto desde cada acoplamiento en la barra a través de
cada vástago y atornille cada vástago al acoplamiento en la parte superior de la
barra. NOTA: El compuesto para rosca estanca debe ser aplicado a todas las
roscas de los vástagos tal como está anotado con el símbolo (3) para evitar la
rotación accidental del artefacto durante la limpieza, la colocación de bombillas
(focos), etc.
14) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través de cada vástago restante y atornille los
vástagos restantes en forma conjunta.
15) Después de que el número deseado de vástagos están ensamblados en el
artefacto, acorte los cables solamente hasta que estén tensos. Consulte las
instrucciones de ajuste del largo del cable a continuación.
NOTA: El artefacto podrá ser colgado con o sin anillos y el eslabón de cadena.
Con anillos y el eslabón de cadena:
16) Enrosque un tubo roscado pequeño dentro del extremo de cada anillo pequeño.
17) Pase el alambre del artefacto desde uno de los últimos vástagos hacia arriba a
través del tubo roscado en el extremo del anillo pequeño. Enrosque ese anillo
pequeño dentro del extremo del vástago.
18) Repita el paso 17 para el otro vástago.
19) Sujete un eslabón de cadena a cada anillo pequeño en el extremo de cada último
vástago.
20) Sujete un anillo pequeño al extremo de cada eslabón de cadena.
21) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través del agujero en el segundo anillo pequeño.
22) Pase el alambre del artefacto desde cada anillo pequeño a través de cada agujero
en el escudete. Descienda sobre los vástagos. Pase los agujeros en el escudete
sobre cada tubo roscado en el extremo de cada anillo pequeño.
23) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través de cada agujero en la cubierta del escudete.
Descienda la cubierta del escudete dentro del escudete. Pase los tubos roscados
desde el interior del escudete a través de los agujeros en la cubierta del escudete.
24) Desde cada tubo roscado pequeño que sobresale desde la parte superior de la
cubierta del escudete pase el alambre del artefacto a través del agujero en una
arandela de seguridad. Enrosque cada arandela de seguridad sobre el extremo de
cada tubo roscado.
25) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través del agujero en cada tuerca hexagonal.
Enrosque cada tuerca hexagonal sobre el extremo de cada tubo roscado.
SIGA LOS PASOS 26-32 PARA COMPLETAR LA INSTALACIÓN.
Sin anillos y el eslabón de cadena:
16) Pase el alambre del artefacto desde el extremo de cada último vástago a través de
un tubo roscado pequeño. Enrosque un tubo roscado pequeño dentro del extremo
de cada último vástago.
17) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través de los agujeros en el escudete. Descienda
el escudete y pase los agujeros en el escudete sobre cada extremo del tubo
roscado en los vástagos.
18) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través de cada agujero en la cubierta del escudete.
Descienda la cubierta del escudete dentro del escudete. Pase los tubos roscados
desde el interior del escudete a través de los agujeros en la cubierta del escudete.
19) Desde cada tubo roscado pequeño que sobresale desde la parte superior de la
cubierta del escudete pase el alambre del artefacto a través del agujero en una
arandela de seguridad. Enrosque cada arandela de seguridad sobre el extremo de
cada tubo roscado.
20) Pase el alambre del artefacto a través del agujero en cada tuerca hexagonal.
Enrosque cada tuerca hexagonal sobre el extremo de cada tubo roscado.

29) Instrucciones de conexión a tierra solamente para los Estados Unidos. (Vea la
ilustracion A o B).
A) En las lámparas que tienen el fleje, de montaje con un agujero y dos
hoyue los realzados. Enrollar el alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente
alrededor del tornillo verde y pasarlo por el aquiero.
B) En las lámparas con una arandela acopada. Fijar el alambre a tierra de la
caja tomacorriente del ajo de la arandela acoada y tornillo verde, y paser
por el fleje de montaje.
Si la lámpara viene con alambre a tierra. Conecter el alambre a tierra de la
lámpara al alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente con un conector de
alambres (no incluido) espués de seguir los pasos anteriores. Nunca conectar
el alambra a tierra a los alambres eléctros negro o blanco.

30) Haga les conexiones de los alambres (no se proveen los connectores.) La

31) Empuje el artefacto hacia el techo, pasando cuidadosamente los tornillos de
montaje a través de los orificios en el escudete.
32) Atornille las perillas estriadas en los tornillos de montaje. Ajuste las perillas
estriadas para fijar el artefacto en el techo.
INSTRUCCIONES DE AJUSTE POR LONGITUD DE CABLE
1) Ajuste la longitud de los cables para lograr la altura de montaje deseada del
artefacto. (Vea los detalles de ajuste del cable.)
Para levantar el artefacto: Empuje el cable arriba en el escudete. Suelte el
cable y el cable se trabará en el lugar.
Para bajar el artefacto: Empuje el botón adentro en el ajustador del cable y
estire el cable hacia abajo. Suelte el botón para trabar el cable en el lugar.
NOTA: Con el botón empujado adentro el cable se levantará y bajará. Sin el
botón empujado adentro el cable sólo se levanta y se traba en el lugar.
NOTA: Consulte el Detalle de ajuste del cable en la página anterior.

26) APAGUE LA ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de comenzar, NUNCA trate de trabajar sin antes
desconectar la corriente hasta que el trabajo se termine.
a) Vaya a la caja principal de fusibles, o interruptor o caja de circuitos de su
casa. Coloque el interruptor de la corriente principal en posición de
apagado “OFF”.
b) Desatornille el (los) fusible (s), o coloque el interruptor o interruptores del
breaker en posición de apagado “OFF”, que controla (n) la corriente
hacia el artefacto o habitación donde está trabajando.
c) Coloque el interruptor de pared en posición de apagado “OFF”. Si el
artefacto que se va a reemplazar tiene un interruptor o cadena que se
jala, colóquelos en la posición de apagado “OFF”.
27) Encontrar los agujeros roscados correctos en la abrazadera de montaje.
Instalar los tornillos de montaje en los agujeros roscados.
28) Unir la abrazadera de montaje a la caja de conexiones. (tornillos suministrados).
La abrazadera de montaje puede ajustarse para acomodar la posición del
artefacto.
