1) Pass wire through threaded pipe. Screw end of threaded
pipe with hexnut into coupling on top of fixture body.
2) Pass wire through tube. Lower tube down over threaded pipe.
3) Pass wire through hole in check ring. Pass hole in check ring
over end of threaded pipe. Set check ring on top of tube.
4) Pass wire through hole in top trim. Pass hole in top trim over
end of threaded pipe. Set top trim on top of check ring.
5) Pass wire through coupling. Thread coupling onto threaded pipe.
6) Pass wire from fixture through stem and screw stem into
coupling on top of fixture body.
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all
stem threads as noted with symbol (3) to prevent accidental
rotation of fixture during cleaning, relamping, etc.
7) Pass fixture wire through remaining stems and screw stems
together.
8) If using swivel for sloped ceilings, pass fixture wire through
swivel and thread swivel onto top of last stem.
9) Thread small threaded pipe into end of swivel.
10) Pass threaded pipe on end of swivel up through hole in
canopy.
11) Slip large flat washer then lockwasher over end of threaded
pipe protruding from inside of canopy. Thread hexnut onto
threaded pipe. Tighten hexnut to secure swivel to canopy.
NOTE DIRECTION OF SWIVEL IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CEILING.
12) If not using swivel, thread small threaded pipe into end of
last stem.
13) Pass threaded pipe on end of stem up through hole in
canopy.
14) Slip lockwasher over end of threaded pipe protruding from
inside canopy. Thread hexnut onto threaded pipe. Tighten
hexnut to secure stem to canopy.
15) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work
without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your
home. Place the main power switch in the “OFF”
position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker
switch(s), that control the power to the fixture or room
that you are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture
to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in
the “OFF” position.
16) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap.
Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes.
17) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided).
Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.
18) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a
hole and two raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into
hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach
ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw, and thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture
ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector.
(Not provided.) After following the above steps. Never
connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

20) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws
through holes in canopy.
21) Thread knurl knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten knurl
knobs to secure fixture to ceiling.
22) Thread short end of long threaded pipe with hexnut into
coupling on bottom of fixture body.
23) Pass hole in flat washer over end of threaded pipe. Pass hole
in rubber washer over end of threaded pipe.
24) Raise inner glass shade up to fixture. Fit inner glass shade
inside cage.
25) Pass hole in inner glass shade over end of threaded pipe.
26) Slip hole in rubber washer over end of threaded pipe. Slip
hole in flat washer over end of threaded pipe.
27) Screw hexnut onto threaded pipe. Tighten hexnut up against
flat washer.
28) Pass hole in bottom trim over end of threaded pipe.
29) Screw finial onto end of threaded pipe. (DO NOT over tighten.)

1) Pase el cable por el tubo roscado. En la parte superior del cuerpo
del artefacto, ajuste el extremo del tubo roscado y la tuerca
hexagonal en el acoplamiento.
2) Pase el cable por el tubo simple. Baje el tubo simple y colóquelo
sobre el tubo roscado.
3) Pase el cable por el orificio del anillo de seguridad. Atraviese el
orificio del anillo de seguridad con el extremo del tubo roscado.
Ajuste el anillo en la parte superior del tubo simple.
4) Pase el cable por el orificio de la guarnición superior. Atraviese el
orificio de la guarnición superior con el extremo del tubo roscado.
Ajuste la guarnición superior sobre el anillo de seguridad.
5) Pase el cable por el acoplamiento. Rosque el acoplamiento en el
tubo roscado.
6) Pase el cable del artefacto a través del vástago y atornille el
vástago en el acoplamiento en la parte superior del el cuerpo del
artefacto. NOTA: El compuesto para rosca estanca se debe aplicar
a todas las roscas del vástago como se notó con el símbolo (3)
para impedir la rotación accidental del artefacto durante la limpieza,
instalación de una bombilla nueva, etc.
7) Pase el cable del artefacto a través de los vástagos restantes y
atornille los vástagos juntos.
8) Si utiliza una unión giratoria para cielo rasos inclinados, pase el
cable del artefacto a través de la unión giratoria y rosque la unión
giratoria por encima de la parte superior del último vástago.
9) Atornille un pequeño tubo roscado dentro del extremo del unión
giratoria.
10) Pase el tubo roscado en el extremo del unión giratoria a través del
agujero en el escudete.
11) Deslice la rondana plana larga luego la rondana de seguridad sobre
el extremo del tubo roscado que sobresale del interior del escudete.
Enrosque la tuerca hexagonal en el tubo roscado. Apriete la tuerca
hexagonal para fijar la pieza giratoria al escudete.
NOTE LA DIRECCIÓN DE LA UNIÓN GIRATORIA DE ACUERDO
CON EL CIELO RASO.
12) Si no utiliza una unión giratoria, rosque un tubo roscado pequeño
en el extremo del vástago última.
13) Pase el tubo roscado en el extremo del vástago a través del agujero
en el escudete.
14) Resbale la arandela de seguridad encima del tubo roscado que
sobresale de adentro del capuchón. Atornille la tuerca hexagonal al
tubo roscado.
15) APAGUE LA ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de comenzar, NUNCA trate de trabajar sin
antes desconectar la corriente hasta que el trabajo se termine.
a) Vaya a la caja principal de fusibles, o interruptor o caja de
circuitos de su casa. Coloque el interruptor de la corriente principal
en posición de apagado “OFF”.
b) Desatornille el (los) fusible (s), o coloque el interruptor o
interruptores del breaker en posición de apagado “OFF”, que
controla (n) la corriente hacia el artefacto o habitación donde
está trabajando.
c) Coloque el interruptor de pared en posición de apagado “OFF”.
Si el artefacto que se va a reemplazar tiene un interruptor o
cadena que se jala, colóquelos en la posición de apagado “OFF”.
16) Encontrar los agujeros roscados correctos en la abrazadera de
montaje. Instalar los tornillos de montaje en los agujeros roscados.
17) Unir la abrazadera de montaje a la caja de conexiones. (No se
proveen tornillos). La abrazadera de montaje puede ajustarse para
acomodar la posición del artefacto.
18) Instrucciones de conexión a tierra solamente para los
Estados Unidos. (Vea la ilustracion A o B).
A) En las lámparas que tienen el fleje, de montaje con un agujero
y dos hoyue los realzados. Enrollar el alambre a tierra de la
caja tomacorriente alrededor del tornillo verde y pasarlo por el
aquiero.
B) En las lámparas con una arandela acopada. Fijar el alambre a
tierra de la caja tomacorriente del ajo de la arandela acoada y
tornillo verde, y paser por el fleje de montaje.
Si la lámpara viene con alambre a tierra. Conecter el alambre a
tierra de la lámpara al alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente con
un conector de alambres (no incluido) espués de seguir los pasos
anteriores. Nunca conectar el alambra a tierra a los alambres
eléctros negro o blanco.

19) Haga les conexiones de los alambres (no se proveen los connectores.)
La tabla de referencia de abajo indica las conexiones correctas y
los alambres correspondientes.

20) Empuje el artefacto hacia el techo, pasando cuidadosamente los
tornillos de montaje a través de los orificios en el escudete.
21) Enrosque las perillas estriadas en los tornillos de montaje. Apriete
las perillas estriadas para fijar el artefacto al techo.
22) Atornille el extremo corto con la tuerca hexagonal del tubo roscado
largo en la parte inferior cuerpo del artefacto.
23) Pase el orificio en la rondana plana sobre el extremo del tubo
roscado. Pase el orificio en la rondana de caucho sobre el extremo
del tubo roscado.
24) Levante la pantalla de vidrio interior hasta el artefacto. Coloque la
pantalla de vidrio interior dentro de la jaula.
25) Pasar el agujero en la pantalla de vidrio interior sobre el extremo de
la tubo roscada.
26) Deslice el orificio en la rondana de caucho sobre el extremo del
tubo roscado. Deslice el orificio en la rondana plana sobre el
extremo del tubo roscado.
27) Atornille el tuerca hexagonal en el extremo del tubo roscado.
Apriete el tuerca hexagonal contra la rondana plana.
28) Pase el orificio en la guarnición inferior sobre el extremo del tubo
roscado.
29) Atornille el remate en el extremo del tubo roscado. (NO sobreapriete.)
