CHAIN DROP INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
SCREW
A
1) Place bottom end of corner rod on top of corner of bottom
ring. Align hole in end of corner rod with hole in bottom of
ring.
2) Lower long threaded pipe down through hole in end of
corner rod and through hole in bottom ring.
3) Thread finial onto end of threaded pipe protruding from
bottom of ring. Tighten finial to secure rod in place. NOTE:
Sides of rod should be square with sides of bottom ring.
4) Repeat steps 1 - 3 for remaining corner rods.
5) Place top ring on top of corner rods passing holes in
corners of top ring over ends of threaded pipes protruding
from tops of corner rods.
6) Lower arm down onto top ring. Pass hole in tab on end of
arm over threaded pipe protruding from top of ring.
7) Thread finial onto end of threaded pipe protruding from top
of ring.
8) Repeat steps 5-7 for remaining arms.
9) Pass wire from center stem on fixture body through hole in
bottom of top trim piece and up through loop on top trim
piece.
10) Screw top trim piece onto top of center stem.
11) Align hole in top of arm with hole on side of sphere on top
trim.
12) Thread ball stud into hole in arm and into hole in side of
sphere. Tighten ball stud to secure arm in place.
13) Repeat steps 11 and 12 for remaining arms.
14) After arms are attached to sphere, completely tighten finials
on bottom of arms to secure arms in place.
15) Pass threaded pipe on end of small loop through hole in
canopy.
16) Pass hole in lockwasher over end of threaded pipe protruding
from inside canopy. Thread hexnut onto end of threaded
pipe. Tighten hexnut to secure canopy to fixture.
17) TURN OFF POWER.
IMPORTANT: Before you start, NEVER attempt any work
without shutting off the electricity until the work is done.
a) Go to the main fuse, or circuit breaker, box in your
home. Place the main power switch in the “OFF” position.
b) Unscrew the fuse(s), or switch “OFF” the circuit breaker
switch(s), that control the power to the fixture or room
that you are working on.
c) Place the wall switch in the “OFF” position. If the fixture
to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place those in
the “OFF” position.
18) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap.
Assemble mounting screws into threaded holes.
19) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided)
Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.
20) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a
hole and two raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into
hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach
ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw, and thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture
ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector. (Not
provided.) After following the above steps. Never connect
ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

22) Push fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws
through holes in canopy.
23) Thread knurl knobs onto mounting screws. Tighten knurl
knobs to secure fixture to ceiling.
SEMI FLUSH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Remove loop from top trim piece.
2) Follow step #1-10 in Chain Drop Installation Instructions.
11) Pass hole in canopy down over end of threaded pipe on top
trim. Set canopy on top of top trim piece.
12) Pass hole in lockwasher over end of threaded pipe protruding
from inside canopy. Thread hexnut onto end of threaded
pipe. Tighten hexnut to secure canopy to fixture.
13) Follow step #17-23 in Chain Drop Installation Instructions.

1) Coloque el extremo inferior de la varilla de la esquina sobre la parte
superior de la esquina del anillo inferior. Alinee el agujero en el
extremo de la varilla de la esquina con el agujero en la parte inferior
del anillo.
2) Haga descender el tubo roscado largo a través del agujero en el
extremo de la varilla de la esquina y a través del agujero en el anillo
inferior.
3) Rosque el capuchón sobre el extremo del tubo roscado que
sobresale de la parte inferior del anillo. Apriete el capuchón para
asegurar la varilla en su lugar. NOTA: Los lados de la varilla deberán
estar a escuadra con los lados del anillo inferior.
4) Repita los pasos 1 – 3 para las varillas de las esquinas restantes.
5) Coloque el anillo superior sobre la parte superior de las varillas de
esquina pasando los agujeros en las esquinas del anillo superior
sobre los extremos de los tubos roscados que sobresalen de las
partes superiores de las varillas de esquina.
6) Haga descender el brazo sobre el anillo superior. Pase el agujero en
la pestaña en el extremo del brazo sobre el tubo roscado que
sobresale de la parte superior del anillo.
7) Rosque el capuchón sobre el extremo del tubo roscado que
sobresale de la parte superior del anillo.
8) Repita los pasos 5 – 7 para los brazos restantes.
9) Pase el alambre desde el vástago central sobre el cuerpo del
artefacto a través del agujero en la parte inferior de la pieza de
adorno superior y hacia arriba a través del circuito sobre la pieza de
adorno superior.
10) Atornille la pieza de adorno superior en la parte superior del
vástago central.
11) Alinee el agujero en la parte superior del brazo con el agujero sobre
el lado de la esfera en el adorno superior.
12) Rosque el vástago de cabeza esférica dentro del agujero en el
brazo y dentro del agujero en el lado de la esfera. Apriete el vástago
de cabeza esférica para asegurar al brazo en su lugar.
13) Repita los pasos 11 y 12 para los brazos restantes.
14) Después de que los brazos sean fijados a la esfera, apriete
completamente los capuchones sobre la parte inferior de los brazos
para asegurar los brazos en su lugar.
15) Pasar el tubo roscado en el extremo del anillo a través del
orificio del escudete.
16) Pasar el orificio de la arandela de seguridad por el extremo del tubo
roscado que sobresale del interior del escudete. Ensartar la tuerca
hexagonal en el extremo del tubo roscado. Ajustar la tuerca
hexagonal para asegurar el escudete al artefacto.
17) APAGUE LA ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA.
IMPORTANTE: Antes de comenzar, NUNCA trate de trabajar sin
antes desconectar la corriente hasta que el trabajo se termine.
a) Vaya a la caja principal de fusibles, o interruptor o caja de
circuitos de su casa. Coloque el interruptor de la corriente principal
en posición de apagado “OFF”.
b) Desatornille el (los) fusible (s), o coloque el interruptor o
interruptores del breaker en posición de apagado “OFF”, que
controla (n) la corriente hacia el artefacto o habitación donde
está trabajando.
c) Coloque el interruptor de pared en posición de apagado “OFF”.
Si el artefacto que se va a reemplazar tiene un interruptor o
cadena que se jala, colóquelos en la posición de apagado “OFF”.
18) Encuentre los agujeros roscados apropiados en la abrazadera de
montaje. Monte los tornillos de montaje en los agujeros roscados.
19) Acople la abrazadera de montaje a la caja de salida. (No se provee
tornillos). La abrazadera de montaje se puede ajustar para acomodar
la posición del artefacto.
20) Instrucciones de conexión a tierra (Vea la ilustración A o B)
A) En artefactos donde se provee la abrazadera de montaje con
un agujero y dos depresiones onduladas. Envuelva el alambre
de tierra de la caja de salida alrededor del tornillo de tierra
verde y rosque en el agujero.
B) En artefactos donde se provee una arandela cóncava. Acople
el alambre de tierra de la caja de salida debajo de la arandela
cóncava y del tornillo de tierra verde, y rosque el tornillo en la
abrazadera de montaje.
Si el artefacto está provisto con alambre de tierra. Conecte el
alambre de tierra del artefacto con el alambre de tierra de la caja de
salida con un conector de alambre. (No se provee.)

22) Empuje el artefacto al cielo raso pasando cuidadosamente los
tornillos de montaje a través de los agujeros.
23) Sujete el artefacto al cielo raso con las bolas roscadas.
1) Remueva el circuito de la pieza de adorno superior.
2) Siga los pasos #1 – 10 en las Instrucciones de Instalación del
Adorno Colgante de Cadena.
11) Pase el agujero en el escudete hacia abajo sobre el extremo del
tubo roscado en el adorno superior. Coloque el escudete sobre la
parte superior de la pieza de adorno superior.
12) Pasar el orificio de la arandela de seguridad por el extremo del tubo
roscado que sobresale del interior del escudete. Ensartar la tuerca
hexagonal en el extremo del tubo roscado. Ajustar la tuerca
hexagonal para asegurar el escudete al artefacto.
14) Siga los pasos #17 – 23 en las Instrucciones de Instalación del
Adorno Colgante de Cadena.
