Situation:
High frequency vo ltage glitche s on the ground plane of the A47 assemblies ha ve be en fou nd
to cause two problems noticeable in the LCD display. Changes can occur in the color map
entries of the display RAMDAC causing the default colors to change on the display. Bright
dots can also appe a r randomly on the display. A47 assembl ies with date code 4119 o r grea ter
have improved gr ounding to preve nt the gr ound plane glitches.
Solution/Action:
Replace the A47 Display/DSP Assembly with an exchange assembly that has date code
4119 or greater.
