Modification Kit to correct Error 03/04 conditions.
Parts Required:
08662-60520 Error 03/04 Retrofit Kit (New)
08662-69015 Error 03/04 Retrofit Kit (Exchange)
Situation:
The Low Frequency Loops (A3 section) of the 8662A has been modified to eliminate the
possibility of intermittent conditions where the VCO will quit oscillating, resulting in
Error 03, Error 04 or both.
NOTE:
Although 8662As with serial prefixes below 2712A are not covered by this Service Note, installing this kit in older 8662As (at
customer expense) will also eliminate similar conditions.
Solution/Action:
To modify 8662As with this problem, a Modification Kit is available (see Parts Required).
