Situation:
For the instruments specified above, inductors within the A5 IF assembly are not making good connections to ground thereby giving error messages related to the A4 Log Amp board. Error numbers that appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen on account of this problem are errors 561, 562, and 565.
Solution/Action:
If the serial number of the instrument applies to the ones above, the following butch may solve the problem. Remove the shielding from the A5 IF assembly. Locate the inductors, and according to the attached photograph, insert and solder one end of the 8150-4222 wire into the hole connecting to the inductors and solder the other end to the ground plane on the front layer of the board. Do this for each inductor. See attached picture, the arrows point to where the jumpers are attached.
