Product may not be compliant and will not be made compliant.
Situation:
HP 8510B with Operating System less than Rev. B.05.00 does no
date related processing. For firmware versions of B.05.00 and above,
the 8510B has the capability of outputting data to a DOS disk. The
date stamp on this data will be incorrect.
Solution/Action:
For Rev.B.05.00 and above the date on the DOS disk can be manually
corrected or ignored. Firmware below B.05.00 cannot output data to a
DOS disk and therefor do no date related processing.
The recommendation for Y2K compliance is upgrade 8510B to 8510C.
Upgrade kit model number is HP 85103D(includes on-site installation
by HP Customer Enigeer).
