Warranty
CertificationAgilent Technologies certifies that this product met its published specifications at the time of
shipment from the factory. Agilent Technologies further certifies that its calibration
measurements are traceable to the United States National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST, formerly NBS), to the extent allowed by the Institute’s calibrati on facility,
and to the calibration facilities of other International Standards Organization members.
W arran tyThis Agilent Technologies system product is warranted against defects in
materials and workmanship for a period corresponding to the individual
warranty perio ds of its component prod ucts. Instruments are warranted fo r a
period of one year. During the warranty period, Agil ent Technologies will, a t
its option, either repair or replace products that prove to be defective.
W arr anty se rvice for produc ts insta lled b y Agilent a nd cert ain othe r produc ts
designated by Agilent will be perfor med at Buyer’s facilit y at no charge
within Agilent servic e travel areas. Outside Agilent se rvice travel areas,
warranty service will be perfor med at Buyer’s facility only upon Agilent’s
prior agreement and Buyer shall pay Agilent’s round trip travel expe nses. In
all other areas, products must be returned to a se rvice facility designa ted by
Agilent.
For products returned to Agilent for warranty service, Buyer sha ll pr ep ay
shipping char ges t o Agi lent a nd Agilent Agilent shall pay shi pping char ges t o
return the product to Buyer. However, Buyer shall pay all shipping charges,
duties, and taxes for products returned to Agilent from another country.
Agilent warrants that its software and firmwar e designated by Agilent for
use with an instrument will execu te it s programming instructions when
properly install ed on that instrument. Agilent does not warrant that the
operation of the instru ment, or software, or firmware will be uninterrupted or
error free.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTY. The foregoing warranty shall not apply
to defects resulting from improper or inadequate maintenance by Buyer,
Buyer-supplied software or interfacing, unauthorized modific at ion or
misuse, operation outside of the environmental specifications for the
product, or improper site prepa ration or maintenance.
NO OTHER WARRANTY IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. AGILENT
SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR

Safety Earth
Ground
This is a S afety Class I product (provided with a protective earthing
terminal). An uninterruptible safe ty earth ground must be provid ed from the
main power source to the product input wiring terminals, power cord, or
supplied power cord set. Whenever it is like ly that the protection has been
impaired, the product must be made inoperative and secured against any
unintended operation.
