This year, Key Digital is introducing new and exciting technologies which result in

better ways to process and distribute digital and analog video and audio signals.

The revolution of HDMI is here and at Key Digital we have the products to make

it work for you. Our processors, switchers and distribution ampliﬁers allow HDMI

to be a reliable option for your installations. We fully support HDMI 1.3 and

1080p standards and offer superior interfacing across sources and displays.

Additionally, our HD Python and Red Iguana lines of HDMI cable, FatCAT series

digital baluns and HDMI extenders further enable distribution of HDMI signals

throughout a residence or commercial facility.

Even as we progress with digital products, we have not forgotten the analog

signal path. Our new FatBoy Matrix switchers give previously unheard of

ﬂexibility to switching and distributing video and audio signals. Whether your

installation calls for one or multiple displays, we can accommodate your needs

with products that are ﬂexible and controllable in a totally automated system. Also

new for this year are Key Digital’s FatCAT series analog baluns with proprietary

noise reducing technology through adjustable grounding circuits. These baluns are

designed to accept virtually any analog video and any analog or digital audio source.

At Key Digital we are not only about the technology, we are also about educating you as

to how the products work. Our involvement with CEDIA continues as one of their SMEs

(Subject Matter Experts) in video technology. We teach numerous CEDIA courses, host

CEDIA University and have expanded our Home Theater Institute. We continually educate

our dealers, distributors and installers on how to maximize performance and ﬂexibility

in designing and installing home theater systems. We have also expanded our SDG

(System Design Group) to give you the most complete design services for projects that

involve complex solutions.

In addition to our focus on our high performance products, we are also dedicated to the

advancement of the entire video technology community. We are members of the Emmy

Award Technology Committee which recognizes the best in video achievements every

year. We also host beginner and advanced video processing seminars both on the road

combined experience with virtually all types of video systems; including home theater, retail stores, bars, hospitals,

corporate boardrooms, schools, churches, hotels, stadiums, and many more.

The SDG department can provide the expertise to both choose the components and design a system that will

HOVO™ (Horizontal Offset Vertical Offset)

Developed by Key Digital® to satisfy the stringent DVI and HDMI requirements for correct synchronization of the video signal to the display.

Key Digital’s® HOVO™ circuit is a powerful syncing design that corrects the syncing on these newer standards and allows for repositioning of these signals to correctly match them to the display.

DVIC™ (Digital Video Internal Clock Exchange)

Key Digital’s power ful DVIC™ system regenerates the high frequency digital processing clock to provide superior performance in 1080i to 1080p conversion.

This regeneration maximizes the video performance for displaying signals in the true HDTV 1080p format.

DVPC™ (Digital Video Phase Controller)

Key Digital’s DVPC™ circuit provides seven individual settings for properly adjusting the phase of the digital processing clock with respect to the video data.

Accurate phase adjustments of the digital processing clocks are required to provide the absolute best picture quality.

These high-bandwidth devices, along with aerospace-designed layouts, assure pristine, high quality video image free of noise or distortions.

Our rigorous design speciﬁcations require over three-times the bandwidth commonly used for HDTV products.

LSDC™ (Lip Sync Delay Compensation)

Digital video processing circuits typically delay the video by several frames, and without correction the audio and video are typically not aligned, resulting in a very noticeable and annoying lip-sync error.

Key Digital’s LSDC circuitry lets the user correct for the video delay, with a wide degree of correction of 0 – 10 frames, which is enough delay to bring your video and audio back into perfect lip sync alignment.

MBDC™ (Micro Balance Dielectric Cable)

Key Digital’s high-quality MBDC digital cables are outstanding for reliable delivery of digital video signals to a display.

MBDC, the unique balance of silver, copper and polyethylene materials, allows the digital video imaging information to transfer without signal degradation.

All Key Digital® Cables feature MBDC’s unique combination of materials that are terminated with the highest possible integrity, as poor termination will degrade signal performance.

Typically the native resolution of your display is not the same as the video resolution provided by your sources.
