Proving Unit

his unit puts out a hazardous voltage and must only be used by a qualified person and in accordance with these instructions. If the equipment is not used in the manner described the protection provided by the equipment may be impaired.
Check that the instrument is free from moisture, grease and dust before use.
Do not use if the unit is damaged in any way. Do not use in wet conditions. Clean only with a dry cloth don’t use solvents. There are no user replaceable parts inside – do not
open other than for replacing batteries. To access
the batteries, undo the two screws at the rear of the unit and remove cover.
Batteries should be disposed of with compliance to current recycling and disposal regulations.
To ensure the safety of personnel working on electrical circuits, BEST PRACTICE calls for the use of a proving unit before working on dead circuits.

Instructions
1. Test your voltage detector on the proving unit, by placing the probes into the front terminals.
2. The LED on the proving unit should light up and your voltage detector should indicate voltage present.
4. Prove your voltage detector is still working by placing the probes into the front terminals again.
5. The LED on the proving unit should light up and your voltage detector should indicate voltage present.
