minimise the possibility of incorrect results being used for certification and the
subsequent revisits this would involve

t Do not connect to the mains.
INSTRUCTIONS
Continuity
Continuity checks are made using the right-hand 4mm terminals
If your tester has a null function connect the two leads to the two lower COM – NULL 4mm
terminals and ‘null out’ the test lead resistance value
To check values remove one test lead only and re-connect to the required value to check - make
the measurement and check the reading of your tester against the value selected
Insulation
Insulation checks are made using the left-hand 4mm terminals
There is no requirement to null the test leads for checking insulation values
Place one lead in a lower COM – NULL 4mm terminal
To check values connect the other test lead to the required value to check - make the
measurement and check the reading of your tester against the value selected.
(Do not exceed the maximum test voltage of 1000V DC)
