UV Fail Alarm*
To ensur e delivery of pur er and healthie r water, a mi cro-process or is insta lled in the purif ier that
perfor ms th e fol lowing functions: -
UV St abiliza tion Delay: To ensure that the UV lamp i s pre-heate d and is working at its optimu m
level before it s tarts disin fecting water, the controller provides a two seconds delay to U V lamp
when t he purifier is switch ed on. During this period, o nly the UV lamp i s switched on and othe r
electr ical device s of the purifier are switched off.
Purifi cation Delay: To ensure that the idle water lying in the internal pipe s a nd in the UV chamber is
disinf ected before be ing passed into th e storage tank, t he system provi des 5 second delay w hen
the purif ier is switched on. During this time , the UV lamp ki lls all micro-org anisms that may be in
the water inside UV chamber. After this delay, all other electrical devic es su ch a s booster pump and
soleno id va lve a re sw itched on to start normal purif ication process.
Audibl e Ala rm: T he c ontroll er al so co ntrols the timing of UV Fail Alarm and the Filte r Change Alarm.

Excell Mineral RO has an in-built feature that sounds an audible alarm if the UV lamp malfunctions.
This feature is provided to ensure purity. This UV Fail Alarm will sound as following:
Two short beeps after every two seconds.
In case such an alarm is audible, kindly switch off the purifier and call the service technician for help.
The purifier will stop its purification process in such a circumstance.

replacement time for filters. This alarm will be audible after
The Filter Change Alarm will sound as following:
4 short beeps after every two seconds; for 30 seconds. The alarm will repeat after every 2 hours of use.
In case such an alarm is audible, please call the service technician and request him to change the
filters of the purifier. However, if the filters are not changed within the next 60 hours of operation, the
purifier will stop functioning to ensure purity and hygiene. The following alarm will be audible
after 60 Hrs.
A continuous beep for an infinite time.
In case, such an alarm is audible, kindly switch off the purifier and call the service technician to replace
the filters. In such a circumstance, the purifier will not function unless the filters are changed.

required, ensure that the raw water supply tank is at least
10 ft above the level at which the purifier is ins talled
It is preferab le to install t he purifi er near a sink so that
fauce t can be mounted on the sink and the inlet and reject
water lines are easily availa ble
Insta llati on Instructi ons:
Screw in the two 10 x50 se lf tap ing sc rews o n a same
horiz ontal leve l at a distance of 246 mm from each other
in the wall. This can be preferab ly done under the kitch en
sink.
Caref ully hang the purifier on the wall with the help of wall
mount ing s lot holes present on the back side of th e
purif ier as shown in the figur e 1.
Fix the SS ball valve to the ¼ i nch p ort of th e 3- way
conne ctor.
Conne ct the 3-wa y conne ctor to the raw wate r supply as
shown in the figu re 2. The threa ded end of the 3-way connecto r is fitted in line wit h the raw water
suppl y. The other end can be co nnected to a tap or can be plugged off if not required .
Now conn ect one end of the whit e pipe to the S S ball val ve and other end to the in let of the right
most se diment filt er (la beled as No.1 in the syste m flow diagra m) (No te: white pi pe is for raw
water suppl y).
Simil arly, conn ect one end of the blue pipe to the outlet of the flow rest rictor tube (label ed as No.
11 in the system flow diagra m) and leave the other end of the pipe in the drain. (Note : Blue pipe is
for reject water)
Make a drill of 11 mm on the top of the sink or k itchen bed where the fauce t (l abeled as No. 11 in t he
syste m flow chart) can be installed conv eniently as per drawing. Secu re the faucet to the sink, by
tight ening the brass nut washe r.
Tight en the 90 d egree ball valve to the tank and connect it to the o utlet of the purifie r as
shown in the drawi ng.
