Reading these instructions carefully and understanding them fully will enable you to perform tasks correctly and will prevent injury to yourself or someone else as well as prevent damage to the vehicle and equipment. Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference.
SAFETY GUIDELINES

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilites, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
l Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is of utmost importance that you read this manual and follow the instructions exactly before each use.
l Read and follow the instructions of any equipment you intend to use in the vicinity of the battery.
l Use the charger indoors only, do not expose to rain or snow.
GENERAL SAFETY
l
Use charger for charging LEAD-ACID battery only. DO NOT use battery charger for other types of batteries, these may burst and cause injury to persons and damage to property.
l Use output socket for supply power to
appliance with rated voltage DC12V and rated current less than 12A only.
l Use only attachments recommended or sold
by manufacturer.
l When disconnecting the battery charger, pull
by the plug not by the cord as this may cause damage.
l DO NOT operate charger with damaged cord
or plug. Have cord replaced immediately.
l DO NOT operate charger if it has received a
sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in anyway.
l DO NOT disassemble charger. Take it to a
qualified professional when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock or fire.
l To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug
charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
l DO NOT use an extension cord unless
absolutely necessary. Use of an improper extension cord could result in fire or electric shock. If an extension cord must be used, make sure that:
- Pins on plug of extension cord are the same number, size, and shape as those of plug on charger.
- Extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition.
- Wire size is large enough for AC ampere rating or charger.
l Always charge battery in a well ventilated
area. NEVER operate in a closed-in or restricted area. WARNING: Risk of explosive gas.
l Locate charger as far away from battery as
DC charger cables permit.
l NEVER charge a frozen battery. If battery fluid

SOLUTION
1. Ensure there is no damage to any of the leads.
2. Make sure the crocodile clips are making good contact with the battery posts.
3. Switch on the power at the mains and check again.
1. Ensure the output leads are not touching.
2. Ensure that the RED lead is connected to the + (POS) battery terminal and the BLACK lead is con­nected to the - (NEGATIVE) battery terminal.
3. Switch on the power at the mains and check again.
