the light doesn't come on when you latch the door, make sure the control knob has been advanced far enough,, Motor sounds will be
heard before water enters the dishwasher,

Beforeoperatingyourdishwasher
Please read you Automatic Dishwashing Guide, it contains important safety information for the safety of those operating your dishwasher. It also contains many suggestions for obtaining the best results from you dishwasher.
What you dishwasher needs to do its job
- Water temperature should be 140°F(60°C)_
= Water pressure should be between 15 and 120
pounds per square inch.
o Fresh granular detergent for automatic dish-
washers.
Proper connections to water and electricity. ° Rinse agent dispenser filled to reduce spotting
and speed drying.
Loading the dishwasher
Proper loading contributes to good washing results_

° Remove loose food from dishware.
When loading dishware into the rack, remember the following:
Load plastic items ("Dishwasher Safe") in upper rack only_
- Place glasses in rows between prongs not over'
prongs_
- Silverware should be loaded so pieces do not
nest together or protrude through openings in the basket°
- Dishes should not interfere with turning or
extending parts of the spray system_
- Load with soiled surfaces facing inward,,
- Items should be placed so water can drain freely.
How to add a dish during a cycle
1_ To be certain the added item is washed and
rinsed, make sure there is a full wash cycle yet to
be completed.
2o Unlatch the door to stop the cycle. Wait for the
water action to stop.
3. Open the door and add the dish.
4. Close and latch the door. The cycle will resume
automatically.
Remember, it is normal...
= For a small amount of water to remain in the
bottom of the tub°
° To hear some sounds while your dishwasher is
running:
- The fill valve opening or closing
- Water entering the dishwasher
- Timer clicking as it advances
- Water being pumped out during drain
- Detergent cup opening
- Pump motor starting
- Double drain at the end of last rinse
