Proper use of the EVENHEAT TM
with Auto Moisture Sensing

The EVENHEAT _ drying system
uses a solid-state sensor to prevent
the large vanations in drying
temperatures that occur in most
other dryers. More consistent, even
heat in every cycle results in better
fabric care by shortening drying
times and by maintaining lower

This cycle takes the guesswork out of
drying. Dryness is determined by an
electronic sensor that "feels" the

amount of moisture in clothes as they
pass over it. Once the cycle starts,
the sensor automatically adjusts the
drying time based on the size of the
load and the types of fablic being
dried. As a result, you get more
precise drying temperatures and
clothes dry faster.

• When the Cycle Selector Control (Timer) is
set to NORMAL DRY _, and has run

through a full drying cycle, you can feel the
dried clothes and determine if they are more
damp than you would like.

• If the load is too damp, you can use the
TIMED DRY cycle to dry the clothes
further'. The next time you do a similar load,
move the timer toward MORE DRY.

Some fabrics will shrink if dried in a clothes
dryer. Selecting DAMP DRY gives you the
benefit of electronic moisture sensing.

Clothes are dried with heat for a brief time so
most of the moisture is removed. However,
the drying cycle stops while the clothes are
still damp to prevent overdrying. As a result,
fabrics retain the proper amount of moisture
so they will not shrink.

The dryer rack gives you concentrat-
ed airflow for efficient and uniform

drying. It also reduces noise when
drying items that have buckles,

Use theheated dryingrack with theTIMED
DRY cycle only.This allows youto machine
dry itemsfor a specific length oftime without
tumbling.

FABRIC CARE/Temperature Control

Proper use of this control helps
ensure that fabrics are dried at the

right temperature for maximum life.

Use this control to select the drying
temperature that matches the fabrics in
your load.

• For hand washed or delicate items, select
the ULTRA DELICATE setting. This setting
will not exceed a maximum drying
temperature of 140°F (60°C).

NOTE: Not all hand washable garments
can be dried in a dryer. Check the care
label on all hand washable garments to
determine whether or not they can be
machine dried.

Owner's Manual.

"Smart," Temperature-Sensing COOL
DOWN Period

Once the selected level of dryness is
reached, the dryer goes into a cool down
period lasting 1-10 minutes. Unlike other
dryers which provide a fixed 10-minute cool
down, this "smart" cool down period is based
on the temperature of the clothes in your
load and varies the time accordingly.

• For small loads or loads that are dried at a
lower temperature, the cool down period

will be reduced to as low as one minute.

• For large loads or loads that are dried at a
high temperature, the cool down period will

be closer to 10 minutes.

The exclusive TOTAL CARE TM SYSTEM
combines the KING SiZE TM load capacity,

EVENHEAT TM_ WRINKLE GUARD _II, and

the TUMBLE FREE TM Heated Dryer Rack to
ensure total drying care for any type of fabric

and load size.

NOTE: For very small loads (3-4 garments)
use the TIMED DRY cycle for best results.
You can use the FABRIC CARE/Temperature
Control with a setting that is appropriate for

Ei sistema de secado EVENHEAT TM
usa un sensor de estado sGlido para

peratura que ocurren en casi todas

las dem&s secadoras. El uso de
calor m&s uniforme y constante en

cada ciclo da como resultado un
mejor cuidado de la ropa ya que se
reducen los tiempos de secado y se
mantienen temperaturas de secado
m&s bajas.

Este ciclo facilita el proceso de seca-
do. La sequedad se determina medi-
ante un sensor electronico que

"siente" la cantidad de bumedad de la
ropa mientras pasa por 61.Una vez

que el ciclo empieza, el sensor
automaticamente ajusta el tiempo de
secado segQn el volumen de la carga
de ropa y los tipos de tela que se
esta secando. Como resultado, usted
obtiene temperaturas de secado mas
precisas y la ropa se seca mas rapi-

damente.

secan en una secadora. El uso del ciclo de
DAMP DRY (SECADO HOMEDO)
proporciona el beneficio de un sensor
electronico de humedad. La ropa se seca
con un periodo breve de calor para remover
la mayoria de la humedad. Sin embargo,
el ciclo de secado se detiene mientras la

ropa aun esta h_meda para prevenir que
se seque demasiado. Como resultado, la

tela retiene la cantidad debida de humedad
para no encogerse.

El estante de secado proporciona
una corriente de aire concentrado para
un secado eficiente y uniforme.

Tambien reduce el ruido al secar prendas que
tienen hebillas. Utilice el estante de secado con

calor solo con el ciclo de TIMED DRY (SECA-
DO PRQGRAMADO). Esto permite secar a
m_quina las prendas pot un periodo especifico
de tiempo sin que rote el tambor.

El uso adecuado de este control
ayuda a que la tela se seque a la
temperatura correcta para extender

la vida t_til de la ropa.

Use este control para seleccionar la
temperatura de secado que coincida con la
tela de la carga que desea secar.

• Para la ropa de lavado a mano o
delicada, seleccione Ia especificaciGn
ULTRA DELICATE (ULTRA DELICADO).
Esta especificaciGn no excedera una
temperatura maxima de secado de 60°C
(140°F).

NOTA : No toda la ropa Iavable a mano se
puede secar en una secadora. Revise la
etiqueta de todas las prendas lavables a
mano para determinar si se pueden secar
a m_quina.

Periodo de COOL DOWN (enfriamien-
to) "inteligente" y con deteccibn de
temperatura

Una vez que se haya Iogrado el nivel
seleccionado de secado, la secadora pasa a
un periodo de cool down (enfriamiento) que
dura de 1 a 10 minutos. A diferencia de otras

secadoras que proveen un cool down
(enfriamiento) _ de 10 minutos, este periodo
de enfriamiento "inteligente" se basa en la
temperatura de la ropa de la carga y varia el
tiempo basandose en esto.

• Con las cargas pequeSas de ropa o las
cargas que se secan a temperaturas mas

bajas, el periodo de cool down

(enfriamiento) se reducira hasta 1 minuto.

• Con las cargas grandes de ropa o las
cargas que se secan a temperaturas mas
altas, el periodo de cool down (enfriamiento)

puede set hasta de 10 minutos.
