When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not place any objects such
as furniture, papers, clothes, and curtains closer than 3 feet (0.9 m) to the front
of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear when the heater is
plugged in.
3. Extreme caution should be taken when using any appliance around children,
elderly, or disabled persons, or whenever the heater is operating unattended.
Children under 14 years of age should not be allowed to operate this heater.
This product is for adult use only and all children must be supervised when
using this product.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate heater with a d amaged cord or plug, after the heater
malfunctions, or if the heater has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
Discard heater or return to a qualified service dealer for examination and/
or repair.

¿Puedo usar un cable de extensión,
protector contra el aumento de

mi calentador?
No es recomendado. Su calentador
está diseñado para enchufarse
directamente al tomacorriente en la
pared de 120 voltios 15 amperios o
más. Pero, si es necesario usar un cable
de extensión, el cable debe ser de un
calibre mínimo de 14 AWG y para no
menos de 2000 watts. El cable de
extensión debe tener tres patas y
conexión a tierra.
No tengo un tomacorriente con
conexión a tierra, ¿puedo usar un
adaptador?
NO. Si no tiene un tomacorriente con
conexión a tierra, contacte a un
electricista capacitado. No altere ni
retire ninguna pieza del calentador

¿Puedo usar el calentador y otro
aparato al mismo tiempo?
Sí, siempre y cuando no estén en el
mismo circuito. Los calentadores se

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar
indoor locations. Never locate appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
8. To disconnect the appliance, turn controls to off, wait for heater to cool down
and shut off, and then remove plug from outlet.
9. Connect to properly polarized outlets only. This product requires a three
prong outlet with ground.
10. Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper
outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter into ventilation opening as this
may cause an electric shock, fire or damage the appliance.
12. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
13. The heater has hot parts and sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where
gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
14. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any use not recommended
by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
15. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet receptacle. Do not use an
extension cord.
16. To prevent overload and blown fuses, be sure that no other appliance is
plugged into the same outlet on the same circuit.
17. It is normal for the heater’s plug and cord to feel warm to the touch. A plug or
cord which becomes hot to the touch or becomes distorted in shape may be a
result of a worn electrical outlet (receptacle). Worn outlets or receptacles
should be replaced prior to further use of the heater. Plugging this heater into
a worn outlet (receptacle) may result in overheating of the power cord or fire.
18. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into an appropriate receptacle.
Please remember that receptacles also deteriorate due to aging and continuous
use: check outlet and cord periodically for signs of overheating or deformations
of the plug. If any overheating or deformation is present, immediately
discontinue using the receptacle and contact a qualified electrician.
19. CAUTION: To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot of
receptacle and insert completely.
20. Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating
and/or risk of fire.
21. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets
can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater.

22. Check your heater cord and plug connections.
a) Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause the outlet or plug to
overheat. Be sure the plug fits tight in outlet.
b) Heaters draw more current than small appliances. Overheating of the outlet
may occur even if it has not occurred with the use of other appliances.
c) During use, check frequently to determine if your plug outlet or faceplate is HOT!
d) If so, discontinue use of the heater and have a qualified electrician check
and/or replace faulty outlet(s).
23. Do not locate against walls or behind drapes or furniture.
24. Clean the outer air filter in the rear of the heater every 30 days by vacuuming
it and/or washing it to remove dust particles. Be certain to dry the filter
completely prior to reinserting it into its position on the heater and prior to
re-starting the heater.
25. Keep the packaging. It is required in case you need to return the unit, and for
off-season storage and any transporting needs.

¿Por qué el ventilador no funciona
después que he encendido el botón
POWER del calentador?
RESPUESTA
El ventilador no funcionará hasta que
el elemento de calefacción no esté lo
suficientemente caliente como para
calentar el aire. Normalmente se
enciende después de 10 segundos.
¿Por qué el ventilador continúa
funcionando después que he
apagado el botón de POWER?
El ventilador continuará funcionando
hasta que todos los elementos de
calefacción se hayan refrescado.
Después de unos minutos el ventilador
se apagará automáticamente.
Parece que el flujo del aire caliente
ha bajado. ¿Es posible?
El calentador se apagó
automáticamente y una luz roja se
iluminó en el frente del calentador.
Asegúrese de que la entrada de aire
en la parte trasera del calentador no
esté bloqueada. Siga las instrucciones
para limpiar el filtro.
El calentador ha entrado en el modo
de auto-recuperación. Esto ocurre cuando
la temperatura interna excede el límite
predefinido. Simplemente espere unos

Generalmente, dura menos de una
hora. Recuerde que con cualquier tipo
de proceso de calentamiento existen
algunas variables: tamaño de la
habitación, aislamiento térmico de la
habitación, cantidad de puertas/
ventanas, concreto sin cubierta, el
abrir y cerrar de puertas exteriores,
y la temperatura externa, etc.
¿Puedo usar el calentador para
calentar varias habitaciones al
mismo tiempo?
Sí. Recuerde que el tiempo de
calefacción varía según el tamaño y la
ubicación de las habitaciones. En
algunos casos, el uso de un ventilador
de techo le ayudará a distribuir el calor
en varias habitaciones al colocar la
unidad en una habitación central.

SUGERENCIAS PARA EL USO
Para asegurar el desempeño máximo del calentador, tome en cuenta las
siguientes recomendaciones.
1. Para mejor resultado, no ubique el calentador en un área de mucho movimiento y
filtración del aire ya que el aire caliente no será suficiente.
2. Coloque el calentador en un área más caliente de la habitación y dirija la salida
del aire hacia una pared más fría. La pared más fría atraerá el calor generado
por el calentador, lo que permitirá que la habitación se caliente de manera más
eficiente.
3. El colocar el calentador a una salida de aire frío atraerá el calor hacia esa área y
no permitirá que se caliente el área deseada. Trate de cerrar o cubrir las salidas de
aire frío. Esto permitirá que se caliente la habitación de manera más eficiente.
Coloque el calentador en diferentes lugares para determinar el lugar que resulte
más eficiente.
4. Para asegurar una eficiencia máxima, se debe mantener una humedad de 40%
(mínimo) en el área que se va a calentar.
5. El calentador está diseñado para operar a una eficiencia máxima de 80-82 grados.
Dado al concepto de calor suave, una temperatura de 68 grados se siente como si
fuera 72 grados. Esto es debido a que el calor se mezcla con la humedad para un
confort de “pie a cabeza”.
6. Cuando el calentador se coloca en un área aislada, como en un sótano o área de
recreación, las rejillas de los sistemas de calefacción de esas habitaciones se deben
cerrar si es posible.
7. Trate de colocar el calentador a unos pies por encima del piso en habitaciones con
piso de concreto. Asegúrese de que el calentador quede seguro y no se pueda caer.
Esto permitirá que se caliente de manera más eficiente dado a que el aire caliente
cae y es atraído hacia el piso de concreto.
8. Trate de bajar su sistema de calefacción central a una temperatura más baja y
coloque el calentador en el área donde va a estar más tiempo. Programe el
calentador a su nivel de confort. Esto ayudará a reducir el consumo de energía.
9. Al calentar un área más grande, coloque el calentador en un área central. Si tiene
un ventilador de techo en esa habitación, úselo para distribuir el calor de manera
más pareja.
10. Si se usa el calentador en áreas muy sucias o de mucho polvo, será necesario limpiar
el filtro más a menudo ya que el polvo puede hacer que el calentador deje de
funcionar. Por favor lea la sección “CÓMO LIMPIAR EL FILTRO DEL PURIFICADOR
DE AIRE” en este manual para instrucciones sobre cómo limpiar este aparato.

Power On/Off button: Turn on or turn off the heater
Humidifier On/Off button: Turn on or turn off the humidifier function
Room Setting button: Set the room size according to actual size of room and
the heater will work at different power levels based on
different room size settings: larger room =1500 Watts;
medium room = 1000 Watts; small room = 500 Watts.
Heater On/Off button: Turn on or turn off the heating function of the heater
Temperature Up/Down Adjust the desired temperature from 60-90ºF.
button: (Note: LCD will show target and actual temperature.)
Fan Adjust button: Adjust the fan to function at High or Low mode
Delay Timer Setting button: Set the delay timer from 1-23 hours before heater
turns on.
Purifier Indication: Indicates that the air purifier is working
Humidifier and Add indicates that the humidifier is working. When water is
Water mode: lower than water line, LCD will display Add Water mode.
The humidifier will stop automatically when Add Water
mode activates
Heating Up mode: Indicates the heater is heating up. (Note: the fan
will not operate while the heater is heating up.)
Cooling Down mode: Indicates the heater is cooling down. (Note: the fan will
automatically turn off when the heater has completed
its cool down function.)
